@slowgrindfeverclub climbs the stairs at @angelmusicbar for a sultry '77-'93 slow dance on Thursday March 12. Enter the smokey dreamland and take a trip through red-hot r&b, druggy disco, adults-only AOR, languid lovers rock, nymphomantic new wave and all manner of uncategorizable moody melters aimed directly at the hips. DJs @richie1250 , @fridayyoung (Headhunters, PBS), Hannah Pratt @ratbag_420 and @larryquicksticks (aka Barry Slow Bones) steer the space ship from 9pm til 3am.

- There will be a smoke machine going all night and it will get very smokey. The smoke is non-toxic but if you ain't into smoke machines this might not be the party for you...
- The dancefloor at Slow Grind Fever is for dancing. If you need to use your phone or have a proper conversation, please do it over by the bar or go outside and get some fresh air. (We don't mind you taking a quick photo or video or saying hello to your friends, but standing in the middle of the dancefloor looking down at your phone or talking loudly is poor Slow Grind etiquette and distracts people trying to focus on the music)
- Slow Grind Fever is not specifically a partnered dancing event. Some people dance with a partner, some with a group of friends, some alone with their eyes closed. You can do it how you wanna.
- The vibe of the night is very hazy and sultry, but the vibe is also about having good manners. Don't be all up in someone's personal space if they aren't inviting you.

Özay Öztürk, an interdisciplinary artist based in Berlin, discovered his path into the music scene through various collectives, ultimately becoming involved with REFUGE WORLDWIDE.
With strong connections to the underground crew SEV Berlin and an early involvement with the open-air venue CURA BERLIN, Özay Öztürk honed his skills on the decks. Preferring a modest and intimate setting over large clubs, he has earned the internal moniker “DJ of the DJs” for his penchant for stepping up when renowned DJs step down.

DJ Fire Abend* is a Berlin-based DJ, painter and artist from Australia. With a deep love for the full scope of music, she’s known for her appreciation of retro groovers, addictive jams and high energy melodies. Starting out as radio DJ, she enjoys soundtracking anything from an early morning serenade on breakfast radio to an after dark seduction on a party dancefloor. She’s been a resident DJ on Refuge Radio Worldwide from the beginning and has had radio shows on Cashmere Radio Berlin and Skylab Radio Melbourne. Whether it’s local radio, a bar boogie or a wedding after party, her selections are bass heavy, melody focused and ultimately, fun!

Empty Deejay is a record collector and radio presenter from Naarm. He digs up old unseen relics for his YouTube channel Empty Archive, hosts Full Bag on Skylab Radio and regularly covers on PBS.
