@slowgrindfeverclub climbs the stairs at @angelmusicbar for a sultry '77-'93 slow dance on Thursday March 12. Enter the smokey dreamland and take a trip through red-hot r&b, druggy disco, adults-only AOR, languid lovers rock, nymphomantic new wave and all manner of uncategorizable moody melters aimed directly at the hips. DJs @richie1250 , @fridayyoung (Headhunters, PBS), Hannah Pratt @ratbag_420 and @larryquicksticks (aka Barry Slow Bones) steer the space ship from 9pm til 3am. The smoke is non-toxic but if you ain't into smoke machines this might not be the party for you... - The dancefloor at Slow Grind Fever is for dancing. If you need to use your phone or have a proper conversation, please do it over by the bar or go outside and get some fresh air. (We don't mind you taking a quick photo or video or saying hello to your friends, but standing in the middle of the dancefloor looking down at your phone or talking loudly is poor Slow Grind etiquette and distracts people trying to focus on the music) - Slow Grind Fever is not specifically a partnered dancing event. Some people dance with a partner, some with a group of friends, some alone with their eyes closed. You can do it how you wanna. - The vibe of the night is very hazy and sultry, but the vibe is also about having good manners. Don't be all up in someone's personal space if they aren't inviting you.
