Spent this afternoon supporting Yvette Tello, publisher of La Prensa Texas @laprensatx , as an Impact & Legacy Nominee at the San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Women Leadership Luncheon @sahispaniccc . So many incredible women in one room truly embodying what it means for women to support women — women who make space at every table and never exclude others. Those are my kind of people. ❤️ Then spent the early evening with my mentee Avianca @aviously_28 at the inaugural Latido Festival @latidofestivalsatx supporting Llamativa, @llamativaofficial an all-women Tejano band bringing energy, culture, and empowerment to the stage (fun fact my friend award winning @littlemisstnt wrote 🖊️ a song or two!) . When I talk about women empowerment, it’s never just for one day; it’s every single day for me. Grateful for another meaningful day surrounded by community, culture, and strong women leaders. And of course… Go Spurs Go! 🖤🤍 @spurs

After last week’s successful press conference led by San Antonio Mayor Gina Ortiz Jones @mayorgoj , several City Council members hosted a press conference Tuesday morning alongside the San Antonio Board of Realtors to discuss the proposed ordinance. During today’s Planning & Community Development meeting led by City Council Member Edward Mungia @councilmanedwardmungia , several amendments were introduced; including a proposed $500 incentive for landlords who rent to veterans. More than two dozen veteran organizations and advocates showed up in support, an effort initiated by the American GI Forum and supported by the only veteran on council, San Antonio Mayor Gina Ortiz Jones. We connected with Tony Fuentes, Executive Director of San Antonio Coalition of Veterans and Families, Cynthia Garcia Chair American GI Forum My City Is My Home and Congressional Candidate Johnny Garcia @johnnygarciaforcongress to hear their perspectives. Join the conversation; your voice matters. Drop your thoughts down below ⬇️ In Print. In Digital. In the Community. 🎥 @jmtmedia.co

From the roots of Conjunto born from working class communities blending Mexican and European sounds to the evolution of Tejano music, this sound is the heartbeat of South Texas. And today, that legacy is alive and thriving at places like Janie’s Record Shop and Del Bravo Record Shop, where generations of music, culture, and history continue to live on. As proud supporters of the inaugural Sonidos de San Antonio event at the Empire Theatre in partnership with @utsamusic and @jmtmedia.co ., we celebrate and collaborate with these small businesses that have made history in Texas and beyond. Celebrate the rich musical heritage of South Texas as we kick off Fiesta season. A one-night experience bringing together the legends who shaped the sound of San Antonio. From Conjunto to Tejano, this is more than a concert — it’s a tribute to the culture, the rhythm, and the city. Featuring icons like Little Joe, Shelly Lares, Ruben Ramos, Santiago Jiménez Jr., Ram Herrera, Patsy Torres, Sunny Sauceda, and Mariachi Los Paisanos. 🎟️ GIVEAWAY: WIN 2 VIP TICKETS Win 2 VIP tickets including an Exclusive Meet & Greet at the Gunter Hotel before the 7PM show. To enter: Tag 3 friends on this thread by April 6, 2026 at midnight. Winner Announcement: Join us Taco Tuesday, April 7th at 10AM as we pull the winner live from Sip N Sit @sipnsitwithme while we enjoy Henry’s Puffy Tacos. San Antonio, this one’s for you. #SonidosDeSanAntonio #FiestaSA #TejanoMusic #Conjunto #SanAntonioEvents SATX
