Howdy! In just a few short weeks the immortal @baltimorepedalshow returns for its third year, and I'm stoked to be attending once again along with a ton of other great makers! Saturday, June 13th from 12PM-5PM @unioncraftbrewing . See you there!
So pumped that @lanternmanufacturing is coming to the #phillypedalparty this time. Met them at another show in Chicago and have been admiring their machines ever since. Amazing sounding designs that really bring creativity and versatility in a tiny, pedalboard friendly device. Come check them out ONE WEEK FROM TODAY!!!

Howdy! This is the Malus, making its debut next Saturday, March 14th (Pi Day!) at @effectiveslam from 12PM-5PM at @stonebrewingrva .
The Malus is a stereo in/out (or summed mono in/stereo out, or stereo in/summed mono out) dimensional chorus fuzz with two distinct yet familiar voicings: the left side is a modified op amp Big Muff Pi, while the right side is a modified transistor-based Big Muff Pi, each with a different EQ profile as well as offset chorus/flange lines with tasteful resonance and dimensional (inverted) LFO signals and delay times that can be stretched into slapback territory. The modulation call also be nearly nulled for simple double tracking as well.
The secondary footswitch controls the order of the effects (fuzz into chorus, or chorus into fuzz) with an optional order lock dip switch (locked at fuzz into chorus) for the right channel for added versatility.
Malus means apple, and - like the Rowan - it is a tree in the rose family (trees are gain pedals, plants are modulation effects). Sounds mean, but it can also sound sweet.
If all goes well these will be available in limited quantities at Effective Slam. See you there!

Day 25 of playing Christmas songs through different guitar pedals: Rowan "dynamic" flanger by @lanternmanufacturing . Merry Christmas!!!
I first played any Lantern pedals at the OKC effector marketplace. As I was playing through the the board one by one we got to the flanger. I said, "I'm not big on flanger, will this change my mind?" It did.
Howdy! Pop some headphones in, because we've got a little breadboard action for your morning scroll: accidental Soft Focus. The irony here being that over three years ago when I began designing the Verbena I set out to try and recreate the Soft Focus patch, and now that it's out in the world I happened to stumble to upon this. Think I'll keep it.
