Brian is putting the 'Awkward Mustache' fuzz from @volticelectronicdevices through its paces — a pedal that can swing from blown-out 90s alt-rock fuzz to tight, punchy overdrive with serious clarity between notes.
In this clip he kicks on Super Mode, which adds a pair of germanium clipping diodes to create a more aggressive, textured fuzz with a unique envelope-like character. It’s thick, wild, and seriously fun to play.

So much control in one pedal! I love how clean this sounds, and I can do arpeggios!??
Usually harp rings so much that distortion is an issue and we are limited in what we can play without the music sounding muddy. Solutions are to dial it down, play less notes and slower, mute strings as you play, string a lanyard through the bass strings, or use a noise gate - all alter the sound in ways that just don't always work or sound great... but this pedal can do it all and has such clarity!!

Mountain Drive by @volticelectronicdevices demo is live and this one genuinely surprised me when I first played it at NAMM. ⛰️✨
The feel under the fingers is unreal. It stays open and articulate at low gain, then roars into gritty, cutting drive when you push it. That tone control sweep adds serious bite and presence without getting harsh.
