Towers is a stereo reverberant filter that teleports your sound into a vast stereophonic expanse, weaving it into its unique resonant filtered feedback networks. Reflections hang in the air and move in and out of a sprawling multidimensional soundscape, where they don’t just fade away—they radiate, breathe and drift endlessly into the void. The filter frequency offers three distinct modes of navigation: Manual Mode puts the player in charge of the filter frequencies. Envelope Mode where playing dynamics breathe and morph into everchanging filter movements. LFO Mode where the player surrenders control to a slow-moving oscillator that sweeps across the stereo field. Now go forth, to your favorite brick and mortar or virtual merchant of EarthQuaker Devices and begin your exploration with Towers—an instrument of transformation, a bridge between the conventional and the impossible, conjured to catapult you into unexplored wormholes of whimsical wonder! Artwork: @dave.neeson Gear: @lautenaudio (microphones) @lollarpickups (Strat pickups) @aluminati_guitars (white aluminum neck guitar) @divinenoise (cables) @rockboardbywarwick@drzamps

Have you been suffering from Chronic IR Loading Fatigue? Dynamic Deficiency Disease? Type 1 Low Fidelity? If you've been experiencing these, or any other tone-related discomfort, then the ZEQD-Pre is just what the doctor ordered! It's an all-analog preamplifier that targets all your tone trouble areas and combats the areas of your signal chain that have been overrun by digital emulations. Designed by EarthQuaker Devices and Dr. Z Amplification around the EF86 pentode—a unique preamp tube renowned for its symmetrical clipping and clean, balanced output—the ZEQD-Pre offers all the dynamic response and HiFi clarity you'd expect from a Dr. Z amp in the versatile and convenient form factor EarthQuaker Devices is known for. With a passive Three-Band EQ, professional headphone output, balanced XLR output and onboard analog cabinet simulation, the ZEQD-Pre delivers authentic tube warmth and dynamic response in a complete analog amplifier system that fits right on your pedalboard. It's perfect for direct recording, backline-free gigs, hybrid rigs with multiple signal paths, quiet practice sessions, or any situation where you need analog cabinet simulation for realistic amp feel. The ZEQD-Pre is not just another snake oil emulation—it's an all-analog, doctor-prescribed solution to end all your sonic aches and pains.

"I have a whole shelf system where I organize effects by type and I always find myself reaching for the Afterneath…and outside of the studio, my touring board has consisted of the Warden and the Avalanche Run since day one! I have never taken them off." "It feels amazing to be able to show up for my Asian community via representation. It makes me happy when people feel inspired to pick up guitar and explore more effects because of anything I’ve ever created. You can do anything you really want if you devote the hours and focus- don’t be anxious or afraid to try new things. It is never too late! And certainly, don’t let anyone make you feel like you have to keep yourself quiet and small in this world. Be loud! Express!" — Yvette Young (@yvetteyoung )

Very psyched to share this beautiful new pedal from @earthquakerdev - TOWERS, a stereo reverb and filter. It can be lush and sustaining, but also allows for a great deal of control through length, mix, and filtering. This demo only touches the edges of what it can do. Huge thanks to Earthquaker for the chance to explore it, and for making unique and exciting pedals, such special objects of design and function. 💞 Music includes a bit of my favorite violin concerto by Bruch in G minor.

@laraharp is here to demonstrate how she uses Towers in Envelope Mode. In this mode, the filter frequency is changed by an envelope that reacts to the dynamics of her playing. Lara also uses the Stretch function to add an otherworldly sense of movement to a glissando. ---------------- Directed & Edited by: Vice Cooler @vicecooler Director of Photography: Dalton Blanco @daltoncamera Audio Engineer: Scott Cornish @actuallyadog Shot at Seahorse Sound @seahorsesound

While our adventuring party was on the path the Towers Stereo Reverberant Filter, things took an unexpected turn. Our band of bards encountered parts shortages that rendered our planned September 25, 2025 launch unattainable. However, those familiar with our story know that any type of delay is an invitation to get creative. So, we took the opportunity to spend more time refining Towers. And by "refining" we mean we tore the Towers down and rebuilt it from the ground up. At the same time, we came into a batch of Germanium transistors, which allowed us to scale up the Barrows Fuzz Attacker from its planned limited run to a permanent member of the EarthQuaker Devices Family of Sonic Solutions. Check out the link in bio to learn more about the design and development of the Towers Stereo Reverberant Filter.

Next week, NAMM delegates, alongside a dedicated tariff delegation including our own CEO Julie Robbins, head to Washington, D.C. with two goals: advocate for the future of music education, and to request tariff exemptions for the music products industry. Last year, more than 90 members from all 50 states held nearly 200 meetings on Capitol Hill, making a powerful case for federal funding that supports music and arts programs nationwide. Advocacy is critical to ensuring access to music education nationwide. In a new episode of Board to Death @waysawayband are with us at @thesmell247 in Downtown Los Angeles sharing their pedal stories. First, there’s Sergie Loobkoff (lead guitar) whose pedal setup was non-existent for a long time before eventually he decided he wanted to “be all pedal-y.” Then there’s Jesse Barnett (vocals/person who plays guitar) who just likes big ol' walls of sound with loud riffs and as long as the pedals on his board can make that happen then he's in good shape. Finally, much like his six string associates, Chad Darby (bass) keeps things simple with a four-pedal-board that includes a Special Cranker that never sleeps. Filling in for drummer Jared Shavelson is Sergie’s beloved sidekick @cheeto_burrito_bandito . Watch the full episode at the link in bio. Ways Away – “I Should Have Brought a Gun” Limited Edition 7” is available for preorder today as part of Noise Pollution Series Vol. 2 (@noiserealrecords ). Preorder now at: noisereal.com ------------- Directed & Edited by Vice Cooler @vicecooler Director of Photography Dalton Blanco @daltoncamera Shot at the Smell @thesmell247
