I get out of the house some! Great seeing my friend @1970sfilmstock rocking a D2O in his new band, @megisaband .
The @themessthetics with James Brandon Lewis were mind blowing, yet again. I never pass up a chance to see these guys. They sound great despite not using any Dusky gear. Brendan is still rocking that bell in his kit. I grew up listening to him and Joe.
Winding down after an epic weekend in RVA for Effective Slam. Here's a couple of friends that were at the show. @dirgeelectronics Slowly Melting and @nonhumanaudio Slow Loris. The Melt in this config takes about a beat to respond to my playing so I have to play slow and rhythmically. I have no idea what it's doing but it's cool that it forces me to play in a way I otherwise never would.
TL/DW: I'm going to be in RVA on Saturday for Effective Slam. I will have a prototype of a new amplifier with me. From here on out, amplifiers will be made in batches with each batch a different model. The D2O is getting discontinued.
I just wanted provide a quick update to the charitable giving that Dusky Electronics has been doing and will be continuing to do. In 2020, I announced that 10% of all direct sales would be donated to organizations that materially support the idea that black lives matter and work to oppose white supremacy. That commitment is still firmly in place. In light of current events both at home and abroad, I feel like it's time to update that support to encompass human rights more generally and that broader focus will be reflected in my charitable giving strategy moving forward.
At the heart of my thinking is support for the rights of all people to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Supporting these basic human rights, requires that I condemn fascism and authoritarianism in general, and the policies and actions of the current republican administration in the United States specifically. Nothing that is happening right now is ok, or right, and conscience demands my vigorous opposition. This is the thinking that will guide my charitable giving moving forward.

And here Spencer shreds on the shop-first Reverend Warhawk with the locally made Angry Sparrow fuzz through the also locally made Dusky D20, with support from the not-so-local Benson Tall Bird + reverb and tremolo. Whew!
