Pretty speechless after Greenhouse. When you spend so much time working on something, it’s wild to watch the moment pass by so quickly. Thank you to almost 500 of you who came across the day and night parties. Our biggest and most rewarding project to date, it’s made us so happy to receive so many messages saying how much you loved it. We aim to bring something unique, and hope that you can rely on us for a good time regardless of whether or not you know who is playing. A big thank you to the artists, including @hannah.d.__ who sadly couldn’t make it, and @na_____tty and @kiasvs for helping us roll with the punches with their dreamy set from day into night. @alex_albrecht_music for his perfect live set and inspiration, and of course @int.mac & @tau_car for showing us music that we didn’t really know existed. Thanks to @bradleypinkerton , our man behind the scenes making our art for the last 6 months, and absolutely nailing the Greenhouse concept. Some clips from my set on The Lot Radio :-) I planned this set with not much time, so being in one of the first cities to develop its legacy, deep house came naturally. The first slide is a track called The Boy from West Bronx and was apparently a licensed ‘hold’ song for call centres. The first dance! After expanding from Melbourne to Amsterdam, Ikigai invites Berlin-based Franziska Berns to the warehouse on June 6. Rooted in four-to-the-floor and understated tension, Franziska’s calm presence behind the booth carries through into sets that steadily pull the room deeper. A long-time resident of Offenbach club Robert Johnson and recently heard guiding dancers deep into the morning at Panorama Bar, the timing finally feels right! Really happy this one found its place here. A blend of mostly early 2000s tech, trance and techno, with a handful of modern prod too. I’m a big fan of the Earth Dog label, so it’s an honour to contribute to the story. It’s a far-reaching and deeply collaborative thing they’ve built 🌏 🐕 Hope you enjoy the tunes. Some snippets from London, what a sick way to end a year full of change and new faces. Thanks to @nansbasement for putting on a mad party at @thegooselondon , especially @mmm.usb for bringing me into such a sick community. Mad vibes on the boat that I won’t be forgetting it any time soon <3 In another side quest, I also got a little spin in at New Forms, where by chance I met Ian (@tristram_snakebite ). I told Ian I’d just been to an exhibition at the Design Museum on the Blitz Club (~1980) the day before. He said he came onto the scene around the 80s, and that he happened to have a book on the Blitz Club. He kindly gifted it to me while listening to my tunes at the bar and said what goes around comes around. Cosmic shit. Thanks Ian. Hope to be back in London spinning again soon. Also great to bump into maccy @int.mac . ❤️😘
