What a marvel to witness @ganggangculture once again elevate @butterartfair to exquisite new heights—an equity-driven, artist-centered celebration of Black art, music, fashion, food, and culture.
It was a joy and privilege to meet the incredible artists showcased at BUTTER 5. I was humbled and inspired by connecting, sharing, and growing with them. I’m grateful to support their artistic endeavors with my passion for business strategy, marketing and innovative use of AI to assist them along their journey.
My heartfelt gratitude to the team, artists, curators, partners, collectors, and supporters who made this cultural heartbeat of community and creativity possible. ❤️
Thank you @alanbaconjr@malinasimone and @kerikirschner for hooking @pigmentintl with media passes enabling me to capture these magical moments! Recap video and more photos to follow. Here’s to the best fine art fair anywhere! #BUTTER5 #BUTTERLA #BlackFineArt
Kinfolk Collective’s Black Pepper dinner reminded us why we’re blessed to be working in our space. These gatherings, uniquely curated and rooted in community celebrate and accelerate the Black art ecosystem. After dinner, Max Davis provided us a personal studio tour and a preview of their excellent Open Studio loft party (photos/video coming)
Chef Saunders served his famous BBQ and @theoldgspirit handled libations. @hebrubrantley hung out late sharing love with collectors and fans like only he can and even did his first art in the studio! A room full of inspiring people. An evening we won’t forget.
Deep gratitude to Shari @recycledmodern@ogechiharryesq@janicebond@maxdavis3 and everyone who helped make this happen.
We’re so proud of our Futuregrow Youth Media Crew. At Expo Chicago, they conducted interviews, captured B-roll, and explored real career opportunities in the cultural arts. Now they’re editing their mini documentary, featuring insights from artists, gallery staff, and more, to share these possibilities with their community and peers. Thank you to all of our thoughtful, welcoming artist and gallery partners for making our 4th year the best ever!
Our youth creative crew at Futuregrow is honored to be the media partner for I Used to Live in Chicago opening Friday, April 10th from 5-9p during Chicago Art Week at @blancgallerychicago in historic Bronzeville.
Curated by @simplynef this must-see Chicago artist showcase will feature, for the first time ever, big oil paintings from one of our very finest @maxsansing alongside design legend and educator @normanteaguedesignstudios character-driven sculpturist @steve_bravo and elder artists Sura Dupart, Tyrue “Slang” Jones, and Patric McCoy. Together, their work provides a multigenerational dialogue rooted in lived experience, cultural memory, and the evolving realities of the city.
Here’s a sneak peek of our first video interview with Max Sansing. Our mentor-guided crew isn’t just covering the exhibit. They’re learning what it takes to be an artist, curator, gallerist, event producer, marketer, and beyond. We look forward to sharing their work with you
For those fortunate enough to attend Friday, please RSVP in my bio! DM me if sold out and we’ll add you to the list!
