Tonight we are very happy to join forces with the legendary Raimund Engelhardt in our dear tiny Zemin. We will play modal music from different regions of the east mediterranean, as well as a couple of my own compositions...
Nowruz marks the arrival of spring , a time for renewal, a fresh start, and for bringing people together. Yet, borders, war, and oppression continue to tear us apart, time and time again.
This Nowruz, we gather not to celebrate as we traditionally do, but to hold space for each other and find strength in facing these difficult times together.
As an act of resistance, we come together once more, not just for ourselves, but for a friend trapped behind borders and for those enduring inside Iran. Because it is our connection that moves us forward.
Thank you to everyone who supports us! Last time, we received over 30 amazing artwork submissions, and we’re grateful for each and every one of you, along with all the helping fingers and toes and our great audience! Due to continued engagement and an abundance of artwork, we’re excited to announce a second round of this event!!
Come share a space of encounter and connection. The evening will feature artistic performances and donated works, with all proceeds going directly to support people during these harsh and critical moments.

KANARINI ORCHESTRA BIRTHDAY PARTY & VASILÓPITA 2026
It was in September 2022 that Kanarini: Greek Music School Berlin opened its doors to the people of Berlin and in January 2022 that Kanarini Orchestra Berlin started gathering greek music lovers to study and perform traditional music and rebetiko.
On Friday the 23.01. we are celebrating our 4th anniversary in Bavul.
At 20:00 we are starting with a short concert, then we will cut our birthday cake and at the same time our traditional New Years Cake (Vasilópita) to find out who is hoing to be the lucky one of 2026.
At 21.30 our Jam Session will begin. Feel free to bring your instruments, everyone is welcome!!!!
Entrance is free but you can contribute to our expenses if you want.

On Sunday the 14.12. we are meeting at our dear To Spiti in Berlin Neukölln to eat, drink and play music!
At 19:00 our Orchestra will open the programme with some dance tunes and mostly folk songs. At 20:15 our jam session will begin! So, bring your instruments and come play with us!
