Thanking all the people I got to work with most of last year on this upcoming project, mostly art department footage but it was not only the art department that was great to work with - thanking the amazing @lucy_producy & @barty.shepherd and their legendary production team, the directors, cinematographers and the whole crew 🤍
More elaborate credit post to follow but for now also big thanks to @morrellandbert , @stagedeventsltd who realized the builds with such quality.

“Phonetime” is a story set in the 1950’s. A transcendent tale of love following two separated lovers as they navigate the difficulties of their past and the possibilities of their future.
Directed by @julapoo this was our 5th collaboration, and as always it was an amazing experience, Jordan has a unique way of telling each story and I love that about working with her. This time we decided to shoot it all as a one continuous shot, camera on steadicam by @warriorscamera .
This short film was produced by @sammyjhume
Our gaffer was @catcastrophic who did an amazing job helping me figure out how to light such a small space for a single 8min shot.

“BRUTAL” is a Psychological surrealist thriller about a mother who absent-mindedly leaves her 8 month old outside a grocery store.
Directed by @julapoo
1- Still from Maya played by @rose_esme_lucas running through the hallway
2- The final scene. Above director @julapoo at the recce, below is the final shot of the film. The camera is positioned low to create the sensation of being at the edge of the building. The incredible VFX team @starryiris1 & Ellie Rimell replaced the entire background with plates of a beautiful sky shot in Mexico City.
3- Clip from scene shot inside the tank where the set had to be constructed, water was rising up to knee level.

“Brutal” was my graduation film from the NFTS directed by @julapoo . It was an amazing but very challenging project for me, specially due to the number of sets we had and the time restrictions but they were all very exciting to work in. So, I thought it would be interesting to show some behind the scenes footage
1- A still from Carol’s scene
2- We came across a reference with a camera travelling above tables so we were very excited to try this ourselves for the introduction of one of the spaces
3-Clip from the scene at Carol’s, our production designer @nathaliecharlottecarraro built this flat at the school’s stage, the detail on every corner was amazing
4- @warriorscamera operating the steadicam following @rose_esme_lucas as she moved through the hallway
Hello, Estefania Carpio here!
I am very happy and proud to be part of this collective.
Growing up in Mexico City, my fascination with film equipment began in my mother’s family business—a rental house filled with cameras and lights.
After a few years in New York learning the basics of filmmaking, I returned to my city to work as an operator and DoP, mainly in commercials. I got into the National Film and Television School and graduated nearly 3 years ago. During that time, I also got married and recently had a baby, so we are pretty much based here now, and we love it. Despite being London-based, I am very fortunate to be able to travel back to Mexico for some projects.
I’ve had the privilege of collaborating with talented directors who have become friends. Fueled by a love for narrative fiction, I find immense joy in crafting stories with a team. I really enjoy this part of filmmaking—the team and family it can create.
Here are some stills of my recent projects, where I’ve discovered a recurring theme—portraying the stories of resilient and courageous women.
Please feel free to ask me any questions.
