Organic Intelligence (O.I) This project began a few years ago, during a series of residencies where we explored the Mangrove, its complexity, its interdependence, and its quiet strength in holding entire ecosystems together. From these experiences emerged Organic Intelligence (0.I.), an electro-acoustic performance that speculates on futures where natural systems like the mangrove could become the planet’s last form of shield, resisting collapse and restoring balance. We had the chance to present 0.I. @berlinatonal , inside the vast concrete cathedral of Kraftwerk. Through dialogue between the human and non-human, analog and digital, utilising a mix of acoustic instruments, DJ mixing, field recordings, live coding, and synthesis, we build an evolving soundscape interlaced with vocals in Spanish, Wolof, and Catalan. The live visuals performed by Nati @akyute_ blend natural and artifical images transforming the space into audio-reactive dreamscape, echoing the post-apocalyptic atmosphere of the hall itself. The visuals combine footage recorded between Africa and Europe by @serahboo.m ,@cocoem__ and Jokkoo members with 3D animation by @vaopoku , including material from our residency in Kenya supported by the @irllull . At its core, 0.I. reflects on the current ecological crisis driven by extractivism, colonialism, and capitalism. The piece travels through mourning, pushing toward resilience, regeneration, and interconnection inviting audiences to slow down, to feel the pulse of deep planetary time, and to listen to the intelligence already present in nature. NOW BOOKING: Jokkoo Collective - Organic Intelligence (O.I.) setten is extremely excited to represent Organic Intelligence Live AV by Jokkoo Collective @jokkoo.collective from Barcelona, one of the most outstanding performances that graced the main stage of Berlin Atonal 2025 @berlinatonal in iconic Kraftwerk. In Organic Intelligence (O.I.) Jokkoo Collective invites the audience into the deep time of the mangroves, to explore their vital role in resistance and adaptation to the current climatic crisis driven by colonialism, capitalism and its inherent extractivism. The piece focuses on resilience, growth and interconnectedness and is based on Jokkoo's collaborative electro-acoustic performance practice, with live visuals by Akyute @akyute_ . Together they create a speculative future which imagines the mangrove as a neural network shaped by the complex interrelationships between species and environments, with the capacity to reclaim global stewardship from the economic elite. SAT 30 MAY JOKKOO X ORMSIDE @noallies returns to Ormside for a DJ set - fresh off the premiere of his new dance-film work “Roda” in collaboration with @adidasy3 . Coining the term “Rough-Kuduro” during the early stages of his career, @noallies developed his sound through pushing Angolan dance music to its extremes, mirroring the violence of the civil war and its resulting fractures. In a reclamation of this personal and political history, @noallies forges a sound uniquely his own – finding a home with iconic London label @hyperdubrecords . Welcoming @sama.adouna (MBODJ) to Ormside. One of the founding members of @jokkoo.collective – @sama.adouna ’s practice extends far beyond herself, working diligently to nourish both local and global communities as a facilitator, organiser and promoter. As a DJ, she embodies this community focus – using the booth to platform boundary-pushing sonics from within and around the black music continuum. @infinitefxxlive founder and @nts_radio resident @_covco is back at Ormside. A multidisciplinary performer and artist – her DJ sets feel like the fruiting bodies of a practice devoted to research and expression. Boldly establishing her own set of linguistics when guiding the dancefloor, @_covco encourages a kind of embodied listening, transforming the club into a site of devotion, never failing to astound with her selections. Formed in 2025 by two existing members of @jokkoo.collective – @b4mba and @mooquidi – @nexus_daband opens a new chapter, fusing their individual practices together into raw performance. In a visceral collision of soundsystem music from across the African diaspora, the duo effortlessly meld dancehall and noise, industrial and trap, presented with a cathartic immediacy that is shared between performers and audiences alike. This will be the UK debut of this project. Welcoming @seventimestoye to Ormside for the first time. The @t__rs___ agency co-founder and DJ leads with a textural and driving approach, weaving together a full spectrum of techno-inflected sonics with drum at its core. SAT 30/05/26 - JOKKOO X ORMSIDE presents: MBODJ / Nazar / Nexus / Cõvco / Seventimes For the next iteration of ORMSIDE presents, we team up with Barcelona-based pan-African collective @jokkoo.collective , exploring the chimeric club mutations of the African diaspora. Founded in 2017, JOKKOO takes its name from the Wolof word for connection, and acts as a vital platform and binding tissue for radical and avant-garde arts across the African continent, its global diaspora and allied communities. Occupying and disrupting performance and club spaces alike, the 6 members of JOKKOO develop diverse practices as individuals and in collaboration – forming a close-knit community that is at once grounding and ever-expanding. Representing JOKKOO are @sama.adouna and @nexus_daband (The performance/ production duo made up of @b4mba and @mooquidi ). Joining them are three artists close to Ormside’s heart: “Rough-Kuduro” innovator @noallies , @infinitefxxlive founder and NTS resident @_covco , and DJ and @t__rs___ co-organiser @seventimestoye . Presenting a chaotic yet loving blend of sounds, a storytelling and memory of two weeks spent together between the sea and the rooftops of Barcelona. Nikeyy is focused on creating vibes, energy, and connections in his sets. He often collaborates with other artists because genuine and lasting relationships with people and places matter and are a key part of his work and identity. He draws on a wide range of sounds and likes to let the mood guide his sets, constantly bringing fresh energy. He’s always looking for ways to blend different musical influences. Nexus, a project between two Jokkoo members that made their debut at our event last year at @pankeculture are back⚡️ [Nexus (B4MBA + MOOKI6)] Nexus is the project born from the union of artists B4mba and Mooki6, both members of the Barcelona-based Pan-African multidisciplinary “ Jokkoo collective.” This collaboration is their answer to a collapsing, chaotic world and a tribute to what connects them and their community through the noise and confusion. Rooted in the pulse of ancestral rhythms and the weight of deep, dark frequencies, their sound draws from punk, industrial, dancehall, noise, and trap. Their music explores the tension between darkness and illumination, a raw scream of rage, charged with emotion, memory, and urgency. Jokkoo x setten Weekender: Eiliyas (LIVE) [Eiliyas] Eiliyas is a Macon born, Atlanta bred, Berlin-based artist working with music, sound design, creative writing and conceptual art. Sound, video, synchronicity, broken technology, idealism, pen, paper, pencil, ink, song, simplicity, layers, life, environment and other are just some of the tools that Eiliyas uses to execute his artistic endeavours. Seeking an alternative interface for music creation, a sonic feedback loop is created utilising various sonic processors for manipulating the sound. Although the initial premise was inspired by Thelonious Monk’s piano solos.
