Last Friday, we welcomed Thomas Zwieg and Andrew Glasser to our Boston Showroom for a cello-specific @larsenstrings event. Thomas, the VP of Product Development at Larsen, worked one-on-one with clients to find the best string setup for their cellos. The event was a unique opportunity for our clients to test and take home the new Sovereign string set in advance of its mid-May release. the technique routine i typically give to intermediate students 🫶🏻✨ 🍎 if a student is ready to add double stops into their routine, we usually start by adding C major sixths (we learn the first octave, then add the second octave once that is comfortable) 🍎 some of my students only play Position Pieces or only work on a Schroeder etude… just depends on what we are targeting with our etude! Position Pieces are great for working on shifting and getting comfortable in new positions.
