El pasado lunes 11 de mayo, la Escuela Superior de Música Forum Musikae celebró una jornada de String Testing Day en colaboración con Larsen Strings, firma internacional de referencia en el ámbito de las cuerdas para instrumentos de cuerda frotada.
La actividad estuvo dirigida a nuestros alumnos y profesores de violín, viola y violoncello, y se centró en la exploración del sonido, los materiales y la respuesta del instrumento.
A lo largo de la jornada se desarrollaron talleres, sesiones públicas de prueba de cuerdas y asesoramiento especializado, ofreciendo a los estudiantes una experiencia formativa de gran valor artístico y pedagógico.
Esta colaboración representa una oportunidad para seguir ampliando el contacto de nuestros alumnos con profesionales y firmas de referencia del sector musical internacional.

Viola appreciation post, my viola was made in 2024 as a commission by @helenmichetschlager , commissions are always scary because you never really know what your getting until after it’s been made, but I’ve been renting her violas since I was 11 and have loved every single one of them so I was not worried about that. It’s is 16 and 5/8 inches and the fingerboard is compressed spruce which has this unique colour as opposed to the normal black. Chinrest is a one of a kind custom make by @secret_of_viola and he has lots of similar and also different designs on his page! As of right now I am using the @larsenstrings virtuosic viola strings which I’m very grateful to have been given at an event at @beareslondon 🙃.
Sovereign has arrived in the UK, and it was a great pleasure to be part of the fantastic launch event at J & A Beare in London. 🎻
The event featured, among other things, a wonderful and beautiful concert by Guy Johnston, who also spoke warmly about the new cello strings. 🎶
