@BBCRadio4 at the start of 2025. It was a joy to see
@josielong win Gold at the ARIAS for her work on the series and the whole team nominated for the inaugural
@weareaudiouk Changemaker Award, as well as travelling to New York for a special Short Cuts retrospective at
@tribecaaudio (complete with a
@rossgsutherland live performance!)
* Afterwords - our series of archive-led musical docs returned to
@bbcradio3 with explorations of the work of Pierre Boulez and the writer Anthony Burgess’ musical dreams (produced by
@alanhall1964 ), as well as a tender, thoughtful dive into the work of deep listening pioneer Pauline Oliveros, produced by

* At the beginning of the year Audrey Gillan and Alan Hall paid tribute to Tara McKerr, one of the rough sleepers at the heart of our podcast Tara and George. Last Rights explored how in death, as in life, Tara had fallen through the cracks of society. At the end of this year, we were sad to also mark the death of George at
@stmartininthefields moving annual remembrance service for homeless people who have died. George’s was one of the 208 names read aloud of recorded deaths in London in 2025… [continued in comments]
