Next Friday, In Bloom lands at the loft for the first time. The series putting the spotlight where it belongs, on the grassroots crews keeping the underground alive. Fully backed by The Cause, it’s all about giving independent parties the space, sound, and support they deserve, plus a chance to work with artists that are normally just out of reach in London’s current climate. Part 2 of the initiative lands with now long-time family of ours, Slippery Slopes. A pair of bass-driven troublemakers who’ve been in and around the team for years. Ahead of the show we caught up with the duo to for a little re-wind back through the years, looking at their views on the scene and how far they’ve come. For next week, they’ve pulled a proper treat in celebration of this with Beatrice M. B2B Ehua coming together for a rare extended set. Above all, In Bloom isn’t just about throwing parties. EVENT ANNOUNCEMENT Slippery Slopes returns to North London via @cu_dalston on November 28th. As always, we’re keeping tickets as accessible as possible. Whilst having one of the best rigs in the area, CU’s cap is proper tiny, so we’re not expecting tickets to hang around. CU is a 30Hz Sound system powered hub for dubstep, bass and broken percussion. Respecting the venue’s home turf, we are going all in on the low end, with two selecta heavyweights joining us from out of town. Berlin based @yungfya and Bristol based Geode are on the controls for this one, you know the drill.
