I’m super excited to present “Fool’s Ovation” by Sepehr, the next release on Kapsela. :)
I’ve been a fan of Sepehr for many years. He’s got a lot of different faces, but what I really love about his music is the moods he’s able to conjur. He’s a master at pitting harmony against dissonance, creating a surreal and ambivalent emotional tension that scratches a very deep itch for me. His last club EP, 2024’s “Genesis Domain”, is one of my favorite records of the decade so far and is a beautiful and haunting masterclass in weird melancholy. “Fool’s Ovation” is a natural follow-up: it continues on the same path, except this time he’s notched up the sass and the sleaze and imbued it with an irresistible psychedelic trickster energy. Having transcended the Genesis Domain – described at the time as “a metaphysical zone where your reality can be reinvented at any moment” – Sepehr now finds himself reincarnated as a jester in a grotesque, apocalyptic carnival where his only hope of survival is to delight and entertain the court as the palace burns around him. It’s been fun as hell bringing these tracks to completion and building a little world around them, and I can’t wait to share the full release.
If you’ve seen me play in the last year or so then some of these might be familiar to you already. The lead single, “Fool’s Ovation”, is out now on all platforms (link in bio). Second single “Bow Before the Sun” comes out in 2 weeks, followed by the EP release on June 12 on digital and vinyl.

We’re beyond delighted to have Objekt with us on the 22nd of May at Vespers as we fundraise for Palestine, and bring together collectives from the region.
Objekt is TJ Hertz, a producer and DJ living in Berlin. Born in Tokyo to British-American and Filipino parents, Hertz grew up in Belgium and the UK before settling in Berlin in 2009. He first became known for head-turning club records, beginning with the self-released stamped whitelabel 12”s Objekt #1 and #2 in 2011, and following these up with remixes for Radiohead and SBTRKT and releases on influential dance music labels such as Hessle Audio. His club output quickly garnered critical acclaim and support from the likes of Aphex Twin and Autechre. Shocking out to the disassembled dubstep contortions of "Cactus" and “Unglued”, the juddering mindmelt of "Agnes Demise", or IDM headturner “Ganzfeld” became a familiar experience for a generation of open-minded clubgoers.
Just landed in NY for a little US tour – here’s where you can find me the next 2 weeks:
Fri 05.08 / Queens, NY / Nowadays (all night)
Sat 05.09 / Washington, DC / Para (all night)
Thu 05.14 / Portland, OR / Process

Gala afterparty goers and friends far and wide, come through - This one is BIG, the Hazaz and @rpsprod clans team-up for a truly special night at @vespersclub , featuring the prolific @objekttt , @thelazergazer , @renataxsabella and @jadatoui .
Rooted in experimentation and playfulness, the lineup moves across fluid electronic terrains from Objekt’s intricate deconstructions of club music to Renata’s genre bending, politically charged sets, LazerGazer’s immersive and unpredictable selections, and Jad Atoui’s textural, spatial improvisations.
A living sonic ecosystem, rooted in sound, community, and experimentation, as we come together with music collectives from the region and across the diaspora.
We are fundraising for Gaza, all proceeds going to @thesameerproject

Hello dearest music enjoyers. Today I am very pleased to share my remix of “Play” by James K (@___pet___ ), my first remix in over 10 years. It’s the first single, alongside JASSS’s remix, from a full James K remix LP coming next month.
I hit pause on remix work a very long time ago*, but when Jamie asked last year if I would remix a track from her album it felt like the time was right: I adore the LP, had a clear idea in my head of what I wanted to do (with just enough time to try it out), and it was for a friend. I was drawn to Play in particular because of a nagging sense that the melody had another, darker side to it that the original arrangement belied – I couldn’t stop thinking about how it would sound reharmonized, with the vocal recontextualized over a moody, slinky pop-dancehall version. So I rewrote the chord progression, and the rest pretty much wrote itself (quite naturally for once). I’ve always been intrigued by the idea of producing pop music and really loved working on this; I hope I can explore this world further. I’m v grateful to Jamie for the opportunity and trust, and am really happy it’s out there. :)
The rest of the remix LP is out next month and features a cornucopia of cuties including K Wata, Hesaitix, Roza Terenzi, Priori, Special Guest DJ, Yushh, Drew McDowall, Loidis, Stone and Arushi Jain. Listen now at the link in my bio.

I’m very excited to announce the fifth release on Kapsela: a gorgeous club EP by Tristan Arp (@tristan.arp ) entitled (re)weave.
It’s immersive, psychedelic bass music, though that doesn’t fully describe the melodic and narrative depth of these tracks IMO. In typical Tristan Arp fashion, the arrangements live and breathe like sentient beings, underpinned by a driving, percussive backbone throughout. It’s an exquisite record and I’m happy and proud to have been entrusted with its release. <3
The first single, Forking Paths, is available now for streaming and download (link in bio). “Mutable Field” will follow on April 3rd, and the full release will be out on digital and vinyl on April 17th.
