Making of a moving album cover for
@okgo ‘s new single THIS.
@damiankulash approached me with his idea of filming a spin art center to capture the paint as it splashes onto the canvas in slowmotion. We used two RED Raptor camera that we hung above the spinning wheel. One camera ran at 240fps to be used for the
@apple and
@spotify pages of the track while another camera shot 120fps to get a higher resolution for print and other still image applications. Damian and I spend a few days running through home depot and experimenting with different color viscosities. We made a mess of his porch but it was totally worth it. The great Steven Meizler DPed for us and
@patrick_jones helped figure out our grip needs.
