Adidas x Dramacall - Three Stripes/Head North Directed by Rawtape produced by Antfarm. Brushing the dust off this campaign video I shot a year or so back but never posted for multiple reasons. It was an unusual Tuesday in Manchester and the sun was against me all day. It was evident it was going to inevitably change dramatically as it crept around the wall pouring light into the tunnel and we did not have the hands to fight it. I then had some issues with the grade. I wanted to fix the things that were bugging me on the day but I had scheduling conflicts that didn’t allow me to attend. Despite trying to give notes between shooting I felt it never got where I wanted. I also actually never managed to get a full res prores either hence why I never posted this. How ridiculous😅 I say all that but Rory did an incredible job at directing Gino who gave a brilliant performance which made the spot. The vid did what it needed to do to promote the sick trainer collab whilst I cried into my camera on the next job. Hope you enjoy me digging out the archive and reliving my first world trauma. Spotify Wrapped 2025. Really enjoyed shooting on long zooms and wide angles as an approach to this campaign but when tight talent timelines mix with short daylight hours you really have to put your thinking cap on. I think near enough every BTS pic from this shoot is me looking lost in the sauce. Spotify Wrapped 1/3@ Directed by @kc.locke prod by @curlymedialtd Some frames and BTS of my two favourite shoot days on this campaign. @nemzzz_ we filmed in Manchester so I had the pleasure of bringing my manny crew on board with 80% of the job being in London. Always good to get the gang out. Big shout to @lighting_jack_ and @___haz for helping me bring this to life in a tricky location with no power. Controlled shots a tight schedule and lighting flips was a challenge. I fully fell in love with the @panavisionofficial 35-400 and @therealuzzey did the maddest focus pull on a la la land style double whip that didn’t make the cut due to timings. A relic in the archives. Thanks to Mike Greaves for hooking us up as always. Also shooting @kingfishrofficial in Limerick was such a great experience. A wholesome moment landing in Shannon Ireland for the first time at sunrise. Got to say the place has my heart 🍀 the people there are as warm as nana’s caserole. Tricky spot to shoot but @sachinparmar.gaffer and @you_ghoul really came through for me. Shooting outside the savoy with a splinter unit and then a white party with no windows to light through. The little opening dart scene was something @rawtape thought of during setup as he noticed an opportunity to build on a simple shot of a poster being put up. Sometimes extra shots can be killer when you’re working to a tight schedule but I genuinely live for these spontaneous creative decisions, especially when they enhance the piece overall, it’s why we do this stuff. I absolutely love working on anything involving comedy and it was such a pleasure to lens this, nothing but good vibes on set. Big huge shout to my gaffer @nathanrubins and his team who fully understood what I was trying to do and constantly offered up beautiful solutions to every problem.
