Born in Hong Kong, Jeremy Ip is an artist and the founder of WURE AREA, a unique art space dedicated to fostering the exchange of ideas through non-verbal communication, sensory experiences and different modes of artistic observation.
He holds a Bachelor of Visual Arts from Hong Kong Baptist University and a Master of Arts in Painting from Wimbledon College of Arts, University of the Arts London. His practice focuses on oil and mixed-media painting, exploring painterly concepts, observing shifts in artistic practice, and engaging with various forms of resistance. His artworks have been shown in Hong Kong, Shanghai, Taiwan, and London, and are featured in private collections.
In 2025, Jeremy showcased his work at Art Basel with Gallery EXIT and served as a guest speaker for the HART Haus Curatorship Incubation Programme. He also participated in group exhibitions, including “Where the Light Bends Between Us” at Soluna Fine Art and "The Remains of Our Days" at Alisan Atelier. Looking ahead, his painting is set to be featured in a group show at Gallery EXIT in January 2026.
