Begonia Fine Art @begoniafineart proudly presents Amy Tang’s first solo exhibition ”Where The Branches Lead“ in Mainland China. Amy Tang Wing-yin’s artistic research is deeply rooted in her observations of family migration and the liminal zones of geographical and conceptual borders. From her family‘s old woodworks factory in Kwu Tung, Sheung Shui, to her grandfather’s ancestral home in Xiaolan, Zhongshan, the artist moves like a wanderer through vastly different regions. This unique perspective allows her to perceive territorial boundaries not merely as dividing lines, but as fertile ground for difference, contradiction, and contrast. The artist chooses a metaphysical exploration of form and image, which liberates viewers, guiding them into ambiguous perceptual boundaries—between city and nature, reality and imagination, the concrete and the intangible. Humans have long settled along rivers, while borders divide communities and history leaves traces upon space. In today’s landscape, human mobility, liminality, and relationality intertwine as causes and effects of one another. The artist examines how geographical specificities and human histories are intertwined, integrating these observations into her works to construct layers of time, memory, imagination, and perceptions that transcend conventional understanding. With family roots in Guangdong and a history deeply embedded in Macau and Hong Kong, Tang‘s unique cultural confluence nurtured her development, enriching her understanding of identity and regional culture with fluidity and multi-dimensionality. This allows her work to offer glimpses into broader generational shifts through personal narratives. Tang aims to explore how historical and evolving landscapes shape our perceptions in a continuously changing world. Her practice is an ongoing quest for stable ground amidst the fluidity and ambiguity of modern identity and regional dynamics. —————————— Where The Branches Lead 16 May to 31 August 2026 Opening Reception at 4:00-9:00pm Saturday 16 May 2026 VIP Section, Business Centre, Block 7, He Sheng Coast Garden, Yapo Jiao, Renshang Village, Huidong County, Huizhou

See you on next Wednesday! The Remains of Our Days 28 Aug - 1 Nov, 2025 🥂Opening Reception 🗓️ Wednesday, 27 Aug 2025 🕙 6pm - 7:30pm 1904 Hing Wai Centre, 7 Tin Wan Praya Road, Aberdeen 📍Alisan Atelier @alisanfinearts Alisan Atelier is pleased to present The Remains of Our Days, bringing together artists Amy Tang, Jeremy Ip @iwcpaint , and Rivian Cheung @rigivian . This exhibition marks our first collaboration with curator Joyce Hei-ting Wong @jwonght , and it’s also the first time we are showcasing these three talented artists at the gallery. The artists share a unique interest in the overlooked aspects of our daily lives, drawing inspiration from everything from floor stains to peeling walls and wild weeds. They explore the messages embedded in what we often discard or forget. Through their creative use of gesture, colour, and materials, they craft contemporary visual stories that touch on themes of consumption, waste, resistance, decay, and regeneration.

! Upcoming exhibition ! 著陸飛地 Landing on Enclave 鄧穎妍個人作品展 Amy Tang solo exhibition Opening in a week is Amy Tang’s ( @ttiittkk ) solo exhibition Landing on Enclave, join us at the opening on the 2nd of May at 4pm ! ⊹⊹⊹⊹⊹⊹⊹⊹⊹⊹⊹ Amy Tang Wing-yin was born in Hong Kong, 1990. She graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2014 and established her studio in Kwu Tung and Zhongshan, focusing primarily on painting. The artist seeks to expand the concept of "landscape," challenging its simple categorization. She believes that the perspective of a landscape is not necessarily fixed; instead, she explores the abstract potential of landscapes, expressing their essence rather than their physical attributes. Choosing a metaphysical approach to image study over a rigid, figurative depiction allows viewers to be guided by the painting itself rather than its symbolic meaning, inviting them to delve into their own imagination. Through layered brushstrokes and scraping, her paintings reveal traces that repeatedly disappear and re-emerge. The abstract space presented in her work embodies the creation and collapse of order, contrasting the tensions of conflict with the wholeness of the everyday, highlighting their differences and incompleteness. The tension between these two states serves as a starting point for new pathways. The frame of the canvas— or the boundaries of an artwork— occupies and partitions space, while also serving as a threshold and interface that opens toward other possibilities. ⊹⊹⊹⊹⊹⊹⊹⊹⊹⊹⊹ Dates: 2nd May - 28th May 2025 (*closed on Monday) Opening: 2nd May 4-7 P.M. Hours: Tue- Sun 12-7 P.M. Venue: Yrellag Gallery | 13A Prince’s Terrace, Central
