The end of June was an absolute whirlwind - I went from the @spacedaddyshort premiere at @framelinefest in San Francisco Friday - Tuesday, straight to @raindancefilmfestival in London Tuesday - Friday. The jetlag was REAL and I was running on PURE ADRENALINE (+ an additional matcha each day) 🥴
It was a week of so many firsts, including my first Q&A and my first (mini) red carpet! Although I got the press photos back and was shining in the worst way - absolutely drenched with sweat 🤣 God said let's keep her humble for the first one and I respect it x
What a week it was - I'm so grateful to have seen myself on the big screen with an audience acting in a comedy 🥹 Of course I've come a LONG way in believing in myself first and foremost. I literally have no drama school background (unless you count one term at a part time school) and threw myself head first into a world I had no knowledge of. Nonetheless, getting the affirmation - not only from two reputable festivals but also from the audience that you've made them laugh - is the BEST feeling!

I also came away from that week with a new sister in @bianca868 - she's TRULY a day one. She's seen me go from my very first acting gig in a student short she produced at school 5 years ago (shoutout Erica Boudoir) to today, attending film festivals together 🫶🏽 We've worked together 3 times the last 5 years - each time unplanned - and it's the best feeling to see someone you really respect grow and evolve in all ways 🌻 Watch this space, I'm telling you now this incredible woman is going places 🚀
Last but not least, a big shoutout to all my friends who came to see the premiere in London and to the wonderful @janetslist for giving me the push I needed to make the trip 💛 say it with me: YOUR NETWORK IS YOUR NET WORTH and I've really lucked out with the people in my life 🙏🏽✨

Self-Tape vs Film — Setting Sail 🦜
Had the absolute pleasure of playing Hannah in the cutest short film, which premiered last night at the @EE & @bafta Rising Star Nominations Announcement 2026 🤍
The film was made as part of Set The Stage — a filmmaking programme by EE in partnership with BAFTA — and what makes it extra special is that the entire short was written and shot by filmmakers aged 15–17 (with the assistance of industry professionals). I was honestly floored by their talent and so grateful to be part of their journey.
Huge love to @marina__terranova for wildly overstepping her costume design duties and putting me forward for casting — grateful for friends who believe in me enough to risk getting fired for it 🤣
A massive shoutout to my co-star @etta_eliza_beth , who played younger Hannah (aka Peanut 🥜). This was her very first acting role — definitely not her last. Being your on-set big sister for the week (and teaching you a southern accent!) was an honour.
So much love as well to the rest of the inspiring cast not in this clip, including @jquartson , who I realised is an absolute LEGEND after hours on the train home together.

We are delighted to announce that the luminous and brilliant @itsfunso will be joining the cast of After Birth to play Ayomide.
Funso Foluso-Henry is a British actor with a background in Social Anthropology, bringing depth and nuance to her performances. She made her screen debut as Daisey in The Meaning of Daisey (BFI Flare), earning praise for her emotional intelligence and authenticity.
Drawn to complex roles exploring race, gender, and sexuality, she also excels in comedy. Her latest short, Space Daddy—a surreal comedy—premiered at Raindance and Frameline in 2025. She recently appeared as a frantic 1970s music producer in Elton John’s Step into Christmas (2024), further cementing her status as a versatile and distinctive emerging talent.

I had the absolute pleasure of speaking with the brilliant Danny Sapani on Episode 2 of The ADINKRA Talking Drum.

Hearing the stories of such amazing women (+ probably the midnight caffeine 😅) meant I left the event with renewed energy and excitement to keep putting the work in to do my part in the world.
