As part of Black Baby Loss Awareness Week, we wanted to highlight this online support meeting from @sandscharity for African and Caribbean families affected by pregnancy and baby loss. Spaces like this matter. Culturally aware support, community and compassionate conversations can make such a difference during grief. If you or somebody you know may benefit from attending, the meeting is taking place tomorrow online via Zoom at 12PM (London time). More information can be found on the @sandscharity website #FiveXMore #BlackBabyLossWeek

And just like that, we’re wrapping up Day 7 of UK Black Maternal Health Awareness Week. It’s been a full on week filled with powerful stories and vital education. From sepsis to hypertension and positive birth stories we’ve explored many layers and intersections of Black maternal health. We hope you’ve learnt something new, felt seen, and maybe even felt empowered to speak up, share more, or rest deeper. Today, we’re inviting you to pause and reflect. Rest is also a massive part of advocacy as you cannot pour from an empty cup! Thank you to everyone who shared, posted, wrote, recorded, and engaged. Your voices matter and the momentum doesn’t end here... the work continues as always! #FiveXMore #BMHAW26 #BlackMaternalHealth
