Five scenes from No Place to Grow Old where I got to interview the wonderful and inspiring Bronwyn. These tent scenes were the first thing we captured for the film. Our director Davey was out of town, but asked if our DP Ryan and I would take my trusty old camera on short notice and record Bronwyn on her last day living in her tent before being housed for the first time in eight years. Meeting Bronwyn and being shown hospitality was impactful to me. In a few ways she reminds me of my mom. The way she shared her story was brutally honest but always hopeful and I’m so thankful to be a small part of sharing that with others. No Place to Grow Old greatly exceeded my expectations. It’s now been a year since the premiere with over 100 screenings and nearly 10,000 in person attendees. I can say it ranks very high on the list of projects I’m proud to have been a part of. Medium format portraits from Andrew and Paolo’s balcony in Chinatown, Manhattan on 8/30/25. Entirely spontaneous photoshoot while saying hi to some friends in New York for some Amtrak shoots. This was Madison’s first time on the east cost and its one of the most beautiful interesting places in the world but what really stuck with us more than anything was the hospitality generosity and kindness of the friends we were able to see even for a few minutes. Interwoven | Terrelle Brown II A few months back I met @tdotbdot1 at the @brdgtwnchrch creative meet up and we instantly became friends. The next day @engstrom_media said he wanted to put a fashion piece together at the @via_films studio but needed a model with a unique style. I instantly thought of Terrell and a week later with the help of my parents’ rug and so many talented friends we filmed this! Had a great time 1st ACing this running @damianbyington Alexa Mini and Optimo zoom. We were able to put together a sweet build with handle zoom control so Damien could fly around on the easy rig since we only really filmed for a few hours. I’m really loving growing as an AC! Also shout out to @kierstenanton for coming with Comet ☄️ Terrell’s puppy whose presence made the day much more adorable. Huge thanks to the team! All this footage comes from work out of @swansonstudio but fun fact, near the end of the video there’s a shot of @schultzbike from @loupeteam ripping down Forrest Park on a bike that was shot with @via_films arm car (ft @chrisvtv , @engstrom_media ) and was one of my first AC focus pulling opportunities. Which is a skill I’m quickly improving I’d love to do more of in an effort to hangout with/ help all my friends who are great cinematographers!
