At the beginning of our relationship my prayer was that God would give us more days like this.
He answered by giving us a lifetime.
September 27th, 2025 is a day in our history where we became one. No longer separate but together. A team - for the rest of the days we have on earth.
A day of heaven touching earth. Of tears and I dos. Of stepping into the next chapter, no, book of our lives. A love that is too vast, too big, too deep to describe with words. Built on the solid foundation of our relationship with Jesus.
This is just the beginning of the long walk of life Campbell and I get to do together. The first few steps have been pure bliss. We love being married. At the same time we’re rolling up our sleeves to get our hands dirty in the work of bringing about justice in Portland through our work and what we’re building. More to come later.
But for now, let me introduce you to my wife, Campbell Larson. The woman who has made me a better man - more selfless and intentional. Who is the iron to my iron. She makes me laugh, dance, and cry at the weight of injustice in the world. Sometimes all in the same day. She’s the most beautiful, compassionate, and empathetic person I know. And the woman I get to spend the rest of my life with.
P.S. Greece was amazing. A wonderfully restful, adventurous, and grounding trip that we both needed after such a full season. We went to Santorini, Milos, and Athens. My recommendation - Go to the island of Milos, rent an ATV, eat at Estia on the water at the marina (pictured above)before going to explore the most gorgeous beaches you’ll ever see.
And we couldn’t have pulled off the dream of a wedding we had without our incredible vendors who brought it to life!

I will love you until the day I die.
Here’s to the rest of our lives 🥂

And thank you to all the people who loved us so well this weekend. Couldn’t be more grateful for you.

This fall has surpassed our expectations, with our film, No Place to Grow Old, reaching more communities than we could have imagined. We started in Portland in late September with our community premiere with 670 people in attendance. Since then we’ve hosted 15 community screenings in Oregon and Washington, 8 cities, 6 venues sold out, and over 2,500 people seen the film in person. We want to thank all of our supporters who helped make this a reality, we couldn’t have done this without you.
As we head into 2025, we want to invite you in. Our goal is to amplify No Place to Grow Old nationwide, bringing these important conversations to more communities and also to fund what we are calling, The Dignity Exhibit dedicated to restoring and highlighting the humanity of people experiencing homelessness.
Head to humansforhousing.com to donate or sign up to host a screening this giving Tuesday.

Let me introduce you to Campbell…
She is someone who has brought an unbelievable amount of joy to my life in the past five and a half months since we made things official. She has many different sides of her. She’s passionate and empathetic, adventurous and active, thoughtful and intentional, faithful and spirit-led. She’s like a diamond, reflecting light in the different sides of who she is.
We can be goofy together and in the next moment talk about what needs to happen next to better serve our unhoused neighbors in Portland. We’re a team in the work we’re doing.
We laugh well together. And she sees me. She knows what I’m thinking before I say any words. And she knows how to lift me up even in my doubts.
It’s a love not without its storms, as we have had to work through them as they have come. At this point, we’ve decided the storms are inevitable, but there’s no one else we’d rather work through the storms with.
The love we have together is only growing deeper, and it’s the type of love that leaves me feeling ever grateful for this life I get to live.
What an evening. Thank you to all those who came out and participated in the showing of the film and discussion that followed.
This explores the rising senior homeless crisis and shares the voices of those so often overlooked. Last night, as a community we came together to listen and pledge to take action to address this crisis.
If you weren’t able to be a part of the community premiere, stay tuned for more ways that you can get involved and learn how you can host a screening of No Place to Grow Old.

Older Adults (55+) are the fastest growing demographic of people falling into homelessness in the nation. This weekend, we took a big step with Humans For Housing and we released our trailer for our documentary, No Place to Grow Old.
Watch it at noplacetogrowold.com or Link in bio.
We need your help to share the trailer! If you were impacted by the trailer, would you be willing to share it and this post? We can’t get the ball rolling without you!
As many of you know, we launched our nonprofit, Humans for Housing, this past week and our first initiative is producing a documentary to humanize those experiencing homelessness in Portland, Oregon. November is going to be a big month. In a few weeks I’ll be releasing something I’ve been working on for almost 9 months. It’s really only the start of a much bigger effort. I’ve had the privilege to work alongside incredible people and we’re stoked to share what we’ve been building with you. We plan to release it on November 22nd. Stay tuned.
I will live and die on the hill of hosting dinners. I am convinced that a family-style dinner is one of the best ways to build and foster community. Turns out the love language of food is universal. When people first show up, they’re somewhat awkward, not knowing what to talk about. Although, after some good food, good conversations, and good music, if you do it right, they’ll be laughing and singing karaoke songs during the clean up party. I believe a good meal with good people is one of the most powerful ways to love and be loved. I couldn’t recommend it to you more. Start small, keep it cheap, and you can build from there. I promise you, it’s worth it.
