Designed for students, families, and community members, this hands-on event will introduce participants to relief block printmaking in an accessible and creative environment. Learn art terminology in Spanish and English (no prior Spanish required)!

It's truly an honor to be in an exhibition among some of the greatest printmakers I know and admire. It's incredible to see a large-scale (4 ft x 8 ft) relief print titled "Chasing the American Dream" which I created 10 years ago as a novice printmaker, still holds a long-lasting impression today. Thank you to Jonathan Cain, Curator at the Tennessee Valley Museum of Art (@thetvma ) in Tuscumbia, Alabama for creating and installing a beautiful exhibition.

Walter Anderson Museum of Art (Ocean Springs, MS)
I was invited to the @wamamuseum to install an altar/ofrenda for the Day of the Dead/Día de Los Muertos.
On Thursday, October 13th, I set up the basis of the altar before starting a printmaking demo with the children of St. Alphonsus Catholic School. The prints made by the children were used to complete the altar.
The following day, we set up outside the museum to get the community involved in printmaking. It was a great turnout! I couldn't have done it without the help of everyone involved. So, thank you for making it happen!
The altar will be up until November 2nd. If you're in Ocean Springs, MS, stop by and add something to it.

Creative Works (Memphis, TN)
The second conference in a week! After arriving home on a Wednesday night, we drove to Memphis Thursday morning, October 6th, for Creative Works. Talk about a motivational conference of making shit happen. This year's theme was Failure/Growth. It reassured me that everyone has ups and downs, including the greatest creators in the industry.
It was great to hear everyone speak. There were so many creative people in Memphis for those three days. So, be sure to check out @creativeworks ! @futurejosh , thank you for bringing all of us creative people together in one place!

Brand New Conference (Austin, TX)
Earlier this month, I entered @industryprintshop 's Giveaway for a pair of tickets to the @bnconf and won! (We appreciate you!) So, @ogtbarnes and I scrambled to figure out lodging and travel a whole week before the conference and hit the road Sunday morning, October 2nd, and drove 11 hours to Austin, TX.
It was an incredible experience! We met up with old and new friends, and some of the best designers in the industry. Now I can put a face to designs that I see every day. Be sure to check out each speaker's work. I wish I could have thanked every speaker within those two days for inspiring not just me but others who attended. So, if you're one of them, thank you again! @bryonygp and @arminvit , thank you for creating a memorable conference, plus the amount of hard work you put into everyone's nametag and program.
