Holy moly, finally able to share the news that my short Murphy’s Ranch will be screening at this year's @slamdancegroup film festival. Woo! Honestly, after wrapping up a gnarly year, this was such a swell of energy. Not only did some of my favorite filmmakers get their start here, but some of my favorite people I’ve been in the trenches with have shown their work here, so I'm just honored to be included with these lovely souls. Making this bad boy was an actual labor of love with a tiny, fearless team who gave everything to bring this eerie little LA story to life. I owe y'all everything.

It’s International Persons with Disabilities Day and we are celebrating our 2025 EDFC @Adobe alumni grant winners and mentors at the historic @thehollywoodroosevelt Hotel where the first @theacademy Awards ceremony was held in 1929! We are so proud of the hard work all our grant winners have put into further developing their projects. We love seeing the continuous efforts they and all of our Film Challenge participants put in to influence the way the world sees disability.

We had a blast at our Film Festival Strategy workshop held at @americanfilminstitute The day started out with introductions from film challenge founder @nicnovicki and @imunderhill co founder of @cinematographyforactors who interviewed @leepugsleyla and talked about his film festival success stories of submitting and screening his award winning film “Audio Description” at festivals around the world. We learned from industry professionals including Peter Baxter (co founder of @slamdancegroup ) and the founders of @join.hiike who talked about the state of Festivals. The day ended with our film challenge participants gathering into small roundtables to work on proactive ways to get their films accepted into film festivals and the tips on how to get the most out of their festival runs. Thank you to @adobe and @americanfilminstitute for hosting and to all who attended in person and online! We’ve got more learning opportunities planned so stay tuned for upcoming announcements.
