Four years ago at NAB, AI companies were tucked away in the West Hall. New businesses, new products, almost intentionally separated from the rest of the show floor. This year? AI is showing up inside the tools you already use every day—aging, de-aging, tracking, and search going genuinely practical inside DaVinci Resolve.
But here’s the prediction that stuck with us: AI in editing won’t be about choosing your shots or making your cuts. It’ll be about that classic creative director note—“can we speed up the pace?”—getting handled in seconds instead of an entire afternoon. You still edit. AI just moves the rhythm.
