And as we start this new year Illustrators’ Fair directors Michael
@studioczerwinski and Holly
@huzzatbuzza look back on a rather fruitful twelve months.(Thank you
@woolypear for the great portrait)
Firstly thank you to all who contributed to our festive feed over the holiday period. Well over 100 of you took part by sending us your cards, with thousands following, sharing and liking.
Thank you also to all who supported our two fairs this year by exhibiting, promoting, visiting, buying, and (as importantly) following here online. We continue to strengthen an audience for illustration. We exceeded 10k visitors on 6th December, which let’s face it is more than fabulous. As always thank you
@kingscrossn1c for being such a great host.
Thank you to all our exhibitors who contributed their beautiful designs to the summer and winter Festivals of Flyers. Congratulations again to flyer winners
@harrywoodgateart and
@sarahjlodge . Thank you also to all who entered the Wildcard Design Challenge and congratulations to
@6620_fft for being our Wildcard champion.
It seems like a long time ago now, but we started 2025 with a shout out for your cat illustrations requested by our friends at
@thecartoonmuseum who then included your cat pics as a showreel in their big cat exhibition over the summer. “We’ve Been Mogged” then culminated in a themed and beautifully programmed late gallery opening that was one of the best attended events the Cartoon Museum has ever hosted.
We’re looking forward to “BOO TO YOU” being an even bigger success next Halloween.
The mantra this year has been to celebrate in real ways real work made by real people. In an increasingly uncertain, unscrupulous and artificial world what else can we do? As always, we promise to build on our successes and fearlessly push boundaries where we can.
We tantalised you with the idea of a book club. This was really well received. So let’s do it!
We value commissioning new illustration. So let’s publish!
We’re good at finding good stories to tell. So let’s podcast!
There’s always more to come.
Thank you and Happy New Year.
Michael and Holly
