For us the best projects are born from great relationships; ones that start with a blend of trust and domain expertise on both sides. So when @jacz_jacz came to Human and said ā€œI’m not talking to anyone elseā€, we knew we were in for something special. Jac’s new brand, @ruadhnyc (pronounced ā€œroo-ahā€, meaning ā€œredā€ in Scottish Gaelic) is a return to her herritage. Together with Jac, we created a campaign in celebration of her purposeful design, rooted in historic concepts of beauty and strength, captured on the rugged coastline of Elgin, Scotland, where the earth meets the sea. What does it take to launch a successful brand? In 2020, Human worked with Hilma on messaging, naming, branding, packaging, art direction, content creation and web for their initial launch. Since then, Hilma has become Human’s longest-standing client, and we have continued to work together on campaigns — most recently helping to launch Hilma Kids! Thank you @meredithjenks šŸ“ø

Working with friends BEETs any alternative ā¤ļø A big relaunch for the Natalie’s Juice and Perricone Farms teams— we worked closely with the Natalie’s team (shoutouts to Dom for being the most tech savvy, organized, in the weeds partner in the best way) as an extension of their in-house team to refresh the brand, create new content and overhaul the dtc digital experience. Art Direction for @withalma Q1 campaign, ā€œA Year From Todayā€ Wanted to write a little love letter to the beautiful still images made by @mollymatalon for this campaign. In an iconic turn of events, Molly also happens to be my birthday twin, born in the same state, same year & day. nobody does it like a 9/14 virgo!! Since this campaign is all about the imagination of the future self, I wanted the images to feel like perfect little day dreams. Soft, joyful, content. And I do truly feel the serotonin hit when I look at these. That’s Molly’s genius eye and her teams insane commitment to perfect lighting, focus, and frame. My heroes!!! I’m insanely sentimental…like if you’ve ever written me a card or even handed me a scrap of paper, I’ve kept it…so I asked each person to write down their imaginings to pair with the images. Almost like scribbling a dream in the margins of a journal or jotting down a note to self. It’s that moment when you first fully form the thought and by writing it down, you take a step towards making it real. Thank you again to @rachaelyaeger @human.nyc for turning this production around at unbelievable speed and being the best partner on everything from casting to locations to strategy and beyond. Creative Direction for @withalma Q1 campaign ā€œA Year From Todayā€ A lot of my life was stolen by depression. Too anxious to go out, too wound up in all the ways I hated myself to learn what I could love. The first time I went to therapy, it felt like after years of living cold, scared, alone in the wilderness, I’d been handed a knife and flint. Finally, I had tools. I could catch a glimpse of a future where I wasn’t fighting for basic survival everyday. For this campaign, I wanted to emphasize the aesthetics of this very straightforward type of quotidian optimism. Build a window into life’s simplest pleasures like feeling proud of yourself, closeness with the people you love, a sense of clarity for where to go next. Almost unbelievably basic desires that can somehow feel so completely out of reach. Inspired by a counseling approach called motivational interviewing, I centered the campaign on a question: ā€œImagine yourself a year from today. Therapy worked. What’s different about your life?ā€ I love this question. When you’re cornered by anxiety, it feels so hard to imagine that tomorrow could feel any different from today. That change is within your reach if you take a first step towards it. Our wonderful cast stars in these vignettes of their years from today. Thank you so much to the team at @withalma for your collaboration and trust. And thank you so so so much to everyone who brought this together on such a crazy fast timeline, especially @jimmynyeango and @theolesourd the absolute dream video team. You are legends!!
