I’ve been making paintings between Zoom calls, shoots, and keeping small humans alive. What to do with all these paintings? Start a gallery and throw a group show, that’s what.
What’s ‘Honcho’ you ask? It comes from the Japanese word for “squad leader,” brought back by US soldiers after WWII. It’s also a mashup of ‘Henry’ — longtime friend, biz partner and prolific painter — and ‘Campo.’ Sort of. It’s also a platform to showcase ours and other artists’ work that we love.
The Honcho Gallery is hanging its first group show at Silver Hill Studio in North Charleston, SC over Memorial Day weekend. Swing by the opening at 6pm, Friday May 22nd.
