Floors Castle is looking a little different than normal. We are currently conducting repair, restoration & conservation work on the roof and high-level stonework, to protect the Castle for generations to come.
The first phase, on the Porte Cochรจre (Porch) at the front of the building, was completed in early 2025. The next phase, on the main block of the Castle, is underway and will take an estimated 5-7 years to complete.

Weโre now beginning the next major chapter of our Roof Restoration Project. Phase 2 will focus on the main middle block of the Castle. Scaffolding is currently being erected and this will continue through to the end of March, after which a temporary roof will be installed. By mid-May, restoration work can officially begin.
This vital phase will help protect the Castle for generations to come, and weโre grateful to the skilled teams on site making it happen.
