Can the yz125 compete vs a ktm125 in the power department!?
Well - yes and no! It’s our experience that the yamaha is a little bit behind in power and power curve - but the overall bike with chassis and suspension is so good that at most amateur national tracks it doesn’t matter if the engine is a tad behind.
Yamaha has returned to the 125 classes in force recently with ktm bringing about their efi 125 - and overall the carb bike is very easy to own and live with.
