Power up your paddle work with these 3 tips 💪🏽
1️⃣ Start smaller: Choose a paddle size that challenges you but doesn’t totally disrupt your stroke. If your tempo dies, they might be too big.
2️⃣ Prioritize technique: Focus on a high elbow catch and a clean finish. If your stroke falls apart with paddles, that's a good indicator your teqnique can use some work.
3️⃣ Mix your sets: Use paddles for specific purpose sets. Strength (short, strong repeats), pull endurance (longer aerobic work), and race-pace 25s/50s to feel real power in your catch.

I finally got to dive in with the new PRANA tech suit from A3 Performance, and honestly, the hype is real.
This isn’t just another suit A3 really leaned into the “life force” meaning behind the name. It’s the first ever single-layer tech suit, which sounds wild until you feel it.
Usually, you’re fighting layers of fabric, but this feels like a second skin. They’ve got this HydroBond Nanoseal tech that actually repels water at the fiber level, so you stay high in the water and the suit doesn’t get heavy mid-race. Plus, the built-in BODIMAX tech is a game changer for keeping the muscles prime during those long sessions.
I also paired it with their Matrix X Goggles. If you’re tired of goggles leaking or digging into your face, these are fused (lens and gasket as one piece) so they’re super low-profile but actually comfortable for once.
To top off the workout, I broke out the A3 Resistance Parachute. If you want to build that raw power and feel the “catch” in your stroke, there’s no better way to do it. It stays stable behind you without swinging around, so you can focus on your pull.
