Drawing inspiration from The Velvet Underground, alongside the angular post-punk of The Fall, the melodic charm of The Pastels and the brooding atmospheres of Joy Division, their music weaves together lush melodies, sharp rhythms and layered textures. Following a high-profile tour supporting @pilofficial and a standout appearance at @tramlines , the band has spent the past year solidifying their reputation as a must-see live act. They recently embarked on their debut UK headline tour, bringing their raw energy to venues across the country, from Brighton all the way up to Glasgow. Blending interweaving vocals, wistful harmonies and timeless indie-pop songcraft, their driving yet dreamy sound has drawn glowing comparisons to Belle and Sebastian, The Strokes and The Coral, as well as Everything But The Girl and The Beautiful South. Since the release of their first single ‘Sun’, the band have been championed by @bbcradio1 , @bbc6music and @radiox , and have racked up millions of streams on Spotify. If you’ve ever stumbled into a DIY venue, warehouse rave, or sticky-floored dive bar and found yourself hypnotised by a voice that sounded like Debbie Harry fronting a no wave circus, chances are you’ve met @jeanie_crystal or at least felt her energy in the room. As the frontwoman of Jeanie and The White Boys, Jeanie channels something both theatrical and visceral: a punk-glam cabaret of sound, sweat, satire and soul.
