Inside the historic Lavanderia at @alcova.milano 2026, Minara connected with the space itself and the other pieces in the Interlaced exhibition.
Curated by @fromm.lab and @studio__etiennebastormagi the scenography used light and raw texture to weave the designs into one flowing experience.
Surrounded by works exploring material memory, craftsmanship, and contemporary cultural narratives, the project became part of a larger spatial conversation shaped by contrasts, resonances, and shared influences.
Rather than feeling like separate displays, the mise-en-scène created a singular rythm allowing the designs to seem tied together.
As a first prototype, Minara offered an early glimpse into a growing collection exploring Arab heritage and architecture ahead of its official debut at Design Doha Biennale 2026.

We are still carrying the energy of Alcova 2026.
Seeing Minara experienced for the first time, surrounded by so many conversations, reflections, and generous feedback, was incredibly meaningful for us. What began as a shared research process became a real moment of exchange with an international audience.
We are deeply grateful to @fromm.lab , to @studio__etiennebastormagi for the meaningful curation, and to everyone who stopped by the Lavanderia to engage with the project.
A special thank you as well to our collaborator, @mina.r.mofid , who traveled from Cairo to witness Minara illuminated for the very first time.

T3C, Tendency Towards the Curve, sits somewhere between object and idea. It takes a language usually tied to weight and rigidity and bends it, literally and conceptually, toward something more open.
The sofa fills space while shifting how space is read. In rooms defined by straight lines, its curves interrupt the rhythm. The protrusions feel like pauses, small breaks where the body can settle, step back, or lean in again. There’s a quiet reference to places like St. Mary’s Cathedral and the Abbey of Neviges, where heavy forms still manage to feel enclosing in a soft way.
The project reflects Daniel Heilig’ from @heiligobjects way of working. His background moves between different places and conditions, and that sense of in between carries through. He avoids fixed answers, prefers movement, change, and trying things without overdefining them.
T3C follows that same attitude. It leaves space, physically and mentally, for different ways of using it, reading it, and being around it.

Seven pieces, one space.
Reflective stainless steel creates shifting perspectives, grounded by steel legs. Natural rope threads weave continuity between fragments, echoing a quiet sense of nomadism.
Each piece stands alone, yet together they define the space.
