✍🏻 Margherita Bruni (@margherita.brunii ) 📷 Sara Becagli (@sara.becagli ) #ateliernuanda #craft #leatherweaving #design

“Inspired by an ancient object emblematic of Japanese craftsmanship, Inrō is a project that embodies a design vision rooted in the study of materials, engineering research, and a genuine reverence for tradition. Presented at the latest edition of @edit.napoli the project earned two special mentions, including one from DesignWanted. Installed individually or alongside its twins to form a chandelier, Inrō presents itself as an exceptionally delicate presence in its elegance and lightness, yet strong and striking. It is a project that immediately captivates with its unmatched aesthetic value and leaves a lasting impression, upon closer study, for its engineering perfection. After all, isn’t this what design is all about?” ✍🏻 Margherita Bruni (@margherita.brunii ) 📷 Cecilia Rinaldi (@cecilia.rinaldi ) 🔗 Link to the full interview in bio #ateliernuanda #inro #lightingdesign #designwanted @designwanted #design

Participating in the @edit.napoli fair for the second time was even more exciting, stimulating and rewarding, confirming the magic and beauty of the entire event and the wonderful people who are part of it, as well as those we were lucky enough to meet. For the seventh edition we returned not only with a project, but with a challenge. After receiving a special award last year, we wanted to impress @domitilladardi @emiliapetruccelli , the heart and mind of EDIT NAPOLI, the jury, visitors and the press with a project that combines craftsmanship, technology and research. With Inrō, we wanted to create atmospheric emotions through a dialogue between storytelling, tradition and innovation, transforming a historical reference into a contemporary lighting object. Special thanks to the entire team that worked at the fair, to the visitors, to the jury, and to @designwanted for the two special mentions received. Last but not least, my husband, who enabled me to achieve all this by giving me support and courage to make it happen. ph @ellerstudio | @serenaeller #ateliernuanda #anuanda #inrō #suspensionlamps #designcollection #details #editorialdesign #editnapoli #whynapoli #editnapoli2025 #designcommunity #designexhibition

— Nuanda’s new project draws inspiration from ancient Japanese containers made by skilled craftsmen during the Sengoku period (1467-1615), which have become the subject of study for the creation of a new system of modular pendant lamps. Plĭco – Folded Divider by Atelier Nuanda Inspired by the Wiener Werkstätte movement, founded in 1932 by Josef Hoffmann together with Koloman Moser, the Plĭco Collection is the result of the interaction between different materials and manufacturing techniques, which find a point of contact through a profound study of design and craftsmanship, generating a product of extreme lightness and flexibility. Natural aluminium, a material used in industrial production for series products, is chosen by the atelier as a structural element, light and reflective, bent and shaped into a modular element, capable of capturing the surrounding light and concentrating it along the surface. Enriching and decorating the collection is the leather weave of the atelier, characterised by a dense, light and resistant weave, yet extremely flexible and elastic in use and hold, becoming the structural and load-bearing joint of the design piece in Collection. The flexibility of the leather and the lightness of the aluminium allow the folding screen to be closed ‘packaged’, through the use of steel gaskets combined with spherical decorative elements that mark its verticality. The geometric motif on the aluminium surface emphasises the sinuosity of the shapes, giving impetus and rhythm to the modularity of each panels, enriching it with details and becoming the distinctive signature of the atelier. The reverse side of the surface has a contrasting matt and satin finish to emphasise the texture of the leather and the rhythmic rhythm of the steel trimmings, which are reminiscent of textile stitching with their staple-like shape, making the two materials strong and binding them together. 🎥 @dario.cervellin Shop the Plĭco Folded Divider on adorno.design Link in bio . . . . . #CollectibleDesign #FoldingScreen #LeatherWeaving #AluminiumDesign #ModularObjects #CraftedInteriors #FunctionalArt #ContemporaryCraftsmanship #DesignDetails #TexturalContrast #Divider #DividerScreen
