This project - designed by @fiumearchitecture - originates from the vision of an eclectic collector for whom objects, furniture, and memories carry deep significance. Relocating from a 180-square-meter apartment to a 140-square-meter home, the challenge extended beyond reduction of space to the creation of a space able of curating and elevating diverse collections within a coherent contemporary framework. Situated in Rome’s Quartiere delle Vittorie, during the renovation, the apartment showed historical layering that became a guide principle, with the recovery and reintegration of original cement tiles, which reintroduced texture and memory, while coexisting with parquet flooring to create rhythmic material contrasts. Key spatial reconfigurations defined the new layout, including the relocation of the kitchen and bathroom to a more central and northern areas of the plan. The project explores the dialogue between past and present through the reuse of the client’s original Liberty-style stained-glass panels alongside a newly designed piece that references historical language without imitation. Exposed structural beams, pillars, and even heating pipes were deliberately revealed and treated as expressive elements, while a black velvet curtain separates the kitchen from the living area, evoking a theatrical threshold connected to the nearby urban context. Among the projects we recently shot in Milan, we particularly enjoyed Residenza Vignale, a historic early 20th-century building in the Conciliazione district, exceptionally open to the public. Here, the brand @piloto_milano staged "Echoes of Elsewhere," a project curated by Ricardo @gaioso , Creative Director and Design Curator, which brought together 20 emerging international designers. The group exhibition was accompanied by a temporary bistro, introducing a convivial and dynamic atmosphere with a selection of chefs rotating throughout the week, designed by @millimstudio , which showcased the Rivière collection, specially designed for the occasion. *Milan Design Week Archives* Last year we got the amazing chance to shoot @poltronova pieces, present at Palazzo Bovara for the exhibition ALCHEMICA, curated by @patricia_urquiola for @elledecoritalia . The installation featured a composition of two complete SAFARI sofas (Archizoom Associati), specially upholstered in custom violet eco-fur for the occasion, and the PASSIFLORA table lamps (Superstudio). The exhibition was structured around the three fundamental stages of the alchemical process—Nigredo, Albedo, and Rubedo—each represented through spaces evoking the most symbolic rooms of the home. *Milan Design Week Archives: Rho Fair* At @isalonioffical 2025, @adrenalinadesignofficial presented Intrecci, a circular and democratic installation made with everyday production straps, which will return to the company to be reused. Alongside the new collections, Adrenalina presented the Nefelibata sofa by @stormostudio , the Nubia armchairs and chairs by @debonademeo , and the Northlight tables by @vladtolochko in new color palettes and materials. *Milan Design Week Archives* Last April, @outpump and @lava_project__ created a club for playing cards and ping pong, redesigning the spaces of @spazioverso_ to create a new, versatile and sophisticated atmosphere, with a mix of carpeting, aluminum, and lacquered surfaces. Inside, two distinct areas, both inspired by traditional Italian recreational clubs: on the ground floor, two Lava ping pong tables, "Partitina 0-2" and "Gae," designed by @giotirotto , and the "Ettore" stool—also designed by Gio Tirotto—that amplify the sense of movement and conviviality. On the lower floor, an area dedicated to another classic of Italian culture: briscola. Four tables set up for the card game, with a specially designed deck. @anita_cherubini_bianchi loves glass. She loves engraving it with her words. The tip of her pen-drill glides over its fragility and the transparency comes alive with thoughts. She explores paths, experiments, learns, makes mistakes, moves forward, retraces her steps, moves forward again, but gets there. She begins her personal conversation with the soul of glass, with the image, with light, and with the "adventurous" allure of imperfection. She imagines her glass panes suspended, detached from the walls. She imagines air and light behind the prints and engravings. And she arrives at iron. She designs the hooks herself, which she has handcrafted. She begins to "make" objects with scraps. She cuts them, sands them, rusts them, cleans them: she creates unique pieces, which will inhabit places. They will transform them and be transformed by them. They must be listened to. And Anita is determined to do so, personally overseeing the installation of her pieces: "a day with me," she calls it. She needs it to interact with those who have taken a piece of herself. Chiara Caselli and Francesco Carrasso, aka @ccontinua_ + @_.mamt._ — Amsterdam-based creative couple, in life and work — designed their apartment as a small constellation of objects, creating an (intimate) gallery of emotional collections and symbolic presences, where each element seems to respond to a logic that’s more emotional than compositional. The complexity is also conveyed by the gaze of photographer @francesco_marano8 , who, through images shot with the creatives in their home, constructs a reading of the space as a narrative device and not just a simple container. The project for House LF by @ffdstudio unfolds as a sequence of rooms defined by material presence and chromatic intensity: rather than privileging formal gestures, the design prioritizes material continuity and tactile variation. Glazed ceramics amplify depth, timber introduces warmth and grain, and mineral finishes stabilize the palette. Together, these layered materials produce a domestic landscape in which color is inseparable from construction and space is read through matter rather than form. Each interior is conceived as a controlled environment where light activates surface, and surface in turn constructs atmosphere. Photos by @serenaeller
