'Woven Mound Pendents'
In an unusual summer without kilns, I spent the last 5 months in an exploratory pivot to nickel. What started out in a panic of being unsure how to make work during construction in the studio, turned into a proud embrace of a new material.
Made from hand-rolled nickel wire and sheet and then woven, these 'Mound Pendents' were proposed and made for the exhibition MATTER AND METHOD as part of @art_clvb 's inaugural fair @detroit_warehouse with curation from @bilgenursaltik and @cakesniffing
It is always invigorating to make to new work, but shoutout to @bilgenursaltik for the blind faith in the trust of proposed work that I've never made before. While always being up for a good challenge, it may not have been clay, but happy to still be coiling.
