throwback to when i was photographing surfing in encinitas. i remember each of these days. i went to the photo editor of transworld surf every week to ask if he’d publish one of my photos in the magazine (attempting to send my own horribly edited RAW files). after he told me to invest in a flash drive and showed me how to set my wide angle, then hours and hours and hours in the water (and the transworld office) burning through 512mb SD cards he finally did. photography took me many places and threw me into design.
It wouldn’t be Bells week without a round at The Sands! 🌊⛳ Always our pleasure welcoming back Kelly Slater, Mick Fanning, Ronnie Blakey and the crew for a fun day on the fairways in between days of surfing! 🤙

In December 2020, we had an idea: to make a film about a story still being written, a story the world had never seen before. It was about a crew of young women who were shaking things up and changing the surfing game. We started production but the project was put on hold, until December 2024, when @fredericksdaughter at @redbull came to us with a new proposition: to bring this shared vision to life and create a film that would etch this moment into surfing history. An idea @caroline_markss had been pushing to make happen with Red Bull.
Here we are on March 2nd and 5th, 2026, celebrating the world premieres of Now Days in New York and Los Angeles. Huge thanks to @fredericksdaughter and @caroline_markss@caitysimmers@erinbrookssurf@sierrakerr@picklummolly@skybrown who trusted us, and all the talented people behind the scenes who helped bring this film to life.
We not only had the opportunity to lead the creative and production of the film, but also to shape the key art and creative direction for the events.
Global release May 1, 2026.

2025 World Champion, Stab High Sydney Monster Air winner, and GQ Brasil Sportsman of the Year @yagodora has split with longtime sponsor Volcom, landing at an independently owned label @visslasurf founded in 2013 by former Bong CEO Paul Naudé.
“This has to be one of the best pickups the surf industry’s seen in a very long time. Well done,” wrote the biz-savvy Josh Kerr following the announcement.
From a brand POV, it tracks. Vissla’s identity (see their slogan: Creators & Innovators) is built on backing surfers with brains and unique voices.
Think: marine scientist Cliff Kapono, bass-jump junkie Matt McGillivray, the inimitable Donald Brink and cerebral afroman Liam O’Brien.
Stylish, dangerously well-rounded, and universally adored, Yago is one of the cleanest brand-to-surfer alignment we’ve seen in years. And their best chance of a brand World Title since their inception.
Hit the link in bio for the full Stab Mic discussion, a weekly-ish surf news show that may air early 2026, hosted by Damien Fahrenfort and Josiah Amico.

From the first day of the year shooting the Aurora, 2025 was a whole another level! Multiple kicks to the shins, many lessons learned and a whole lot of good times with amazing humans. Grateful for my family, friends and all the new humans I met along the way 🙏❤️ If 2026 is as good as the last, I'm all in 🤟🏻🥹
