After coming together to celebrate, it’s time to face a hard truth: Black-led organizations, including the GWBCC, often don’t receive the support they deserve.
But here’s the reality—without your help, our community struggles to thrive. Your donation isn’t just a gift; it’s a critical investment in economic justice and entrepreneurial equity.
By donating to the Greater Washington Black Chamber of Commerce (GWBCC), you’re helping to break down the barriers that Black-owned businesses face daily—barriers that prevent growth, limit opportunities, and hold back our communities. Your contribution enables us to continue providing resources, mentorship, and advocacy to help Black entrepreneurs succeed and build a lasting legacy.
Black-led organizations are often underfunded: Despite the undeniable value of Black-led groups, we face systemic challenges in securing funding. Your support is crucial in giving us the resources we need to continue our work.
Your donation empowers Black entrepreneurship: The funds raised directly support the development, growth, and sustainability of Black businesses. You’re investing in the future of entrepreneurship, job creation, and wealth-building in our communities.
We’re creating long-lasting change: Supporting the GWBCC means you’re helping to create a more equitable and inclusive economy. Your donation is a step toward changing the narrative and creating opportunities for generations to come.
This isn’t just about us—it’s about our collective future. When we support Black-led organizations, we empower the entire community. Your donation today fuels that future.

What an exciting week we have had at MBA Growth Partners, and we are closing it out reflecting on this month’s President’s Circle session and the conversation we had with our Presidents on what it truly takes to grow and protect a business.
This week’s Session 3 centered on a critical truth. Growth is not just about increasing revenue; it is about building the right structure around your business so it can sustain that growth.
We explored how legal structures must evolve as companies scale, why contracts should be treated as strategic tools rather than formalities, and how strong leaders approach risk with foresight rather than reaction. These are the decisions that often go overlooked until they become costly.
A sincere thank you to our Facilitators Kisha Brown, Steve R. Cade, and Olivia Singelmann for leading such an impactful and practical session. Your ability to translate complex legal and risk considerations into clear, actionable insight made a lasting impression on the room.
We wrapped the evening with our bimonthly happy hour, and it was a great time connecting and continuing the conversation in a more relaxed setting. A big thank you to everyone who showed up and made the mixer such a warm and engaging experience.
Special thanks to our partners Foley & Lardner for their continued support in hosting, supporting, and championing this cohort. And to our Presidents, thank you for the way you continue to show up, engage, and build with intention.
The weekend is here. Take the time to reset and recharge. Next week, we continue building smarter and stronger.

The President Circle is back next Tuesday as we continue to build momentum with this cohort! Hosted by Foley & Lardner LLP, next week's session will provide our Presidents with both the strategic roadmap and the legal insights needed to support sustainable business evolution, including a focused exploration of Legal and Risk Management addressing compliance, contracts, and business continuity planning.
We’re honored to feature three powerhouse speakers, each bringing a unique blend of legal expertise and strategic advisory:
➡️ Kisha A. Brown, Esq., Founder and CEO of Justis Connection, the nation’s first Black attorney referral network. A civil rights attorney and legal-tech founder, Kisha helps high-performing leaders protect their growth and make informed decisions before challenges become costly disruptions through her Legal Clarity Sessions.
➡️ Steve R. Cade, Business Lawyer at Foley & Lardner. Steve advises clients on a wide range of corporate and transactional matters, with a focus on mergers and acquisitions, finance, and supply chain strategy. He helps businesses execute strategic transactions and achieve sustainable growth through sound legal and financial guidance.
➡️ Olivia Singelmann, Litigation Partner at Foley & Lardner. Olivia advises multinational corporations on complex regulatory, enforcement, and litigation matters. Her work supports clients in managing disputes, strengthening governance, and maintaining compliance in highly regulated environments.
Right after the session, we are opening the doors for our bi-monthly Executive Mixer.
