MET SUMMER SITUATIONS (2025) So I’ve been in this amazing monogamous relationship with Metal for the past 14YRS 🔗, but when the MET @metmuseum asked me to return this summer to co-lecture a costume design workshop for a group of young creative geniuses from around the world, I couldn’t say no… (you don’t say no to the MET lol) The young geniuses produced hand sewn garments inspired by the museum’s illustrious Superfine Exhibition && ya grl sculpted a few dramatic hats for their runway looks 👒 Gratitude to the most heye for providing continuous opportunities for me to exercise all aspects of my creative skillset; sewing, costume design & hat sculpting are secret passions of mine- ones that I reserve for special requests as such. Eater Magazine outed me & now my cover is blown (again)… 5 months ago todayy I boarded the Aunts et Uncles rocket ship as a Curator of Experiential && have been on the most exciting & fulfilling adventure filled with love, good people, communityyyy, intentional movements, genius ideation && food so damnnn good that I’m lowkey gaining weight lol Since that day, I’ve been working behind-the-scenes with the genius minds of @brooklynsky & @nicnich to curate the iconic AU sAUnds performances, design & actualize AU table/booth-scapes for festivals, partner events and functions (Rivian + AU + Hypebeast, The Lay Out, Family Style Fest, ROOTS Picnic in Philly, etc), ideate innovative brand & marketing initiatives, pushed play on the AU GOOD DAY brunch with MELO-X, etc etc etc. My creative brain is stimulated, my tastebuds are satisfied, my heart is full and my vision is clear; gratitude to my AU family for everythingggg & cheers to the 5th year of one of the biggest + most intentional brands of our time. cc: @auntsetuncles
