How do we harvest our coffee?🤔🪴🫘 At the @graycano My tree farm we use two main methods for harvesting, one that is fully manual and one that is partially automated 👨🏻‍🌾🚜 1- Manual harvest 👩🏼‍🌾 Coffee cherries are picked completely by hand, either by stripping the whole branch (more time-efficient) or by individually removing each ripe cherry -Suitable for areas where mechanical harvesters can't reach -Great for specialty coffee as it ensures high quality by focusing on care and precision -provides local employment -makes it easier to identify any potential problems with the coffee (Such as pests or diseased cherries) -promotes a more in depth connection with the coffee production that full mechanized harvesting doesn't allow 2- Mechanical shaker or vibrating harvester🪏⚙️(semi mechanized) Paddle-like machines with long "fingers" are used to shake the coffee trees in a controlled vibration, causing the ripe cherries to fall while minimizing damage to the tree itself -Reduces manual labour dependence -About 5-10 times faster than hand picking -cheaper than full industrial mechanization -suitable for smaller farms and areas where large tractors cannot operate 🤔Did you already know about these methods? #specialtycoffee #coffeeharvest #graycano #braziliancoffee #specialtycoffeeroaster

Kein Coffee Counter, sondern ein Raum, in dem Specialty Coffee erlebbar wird und in dem zwei Welten zusammenkommen, die mehr gemeinsam haben, als man auf den ersten Blick denkt. BMW und wir teilen dieselbe Haltung. Handwerk. Präzision. BMW baut Autos, bei denen jedes Detail durchdacht ist. Wir bauen Equipment für Specialty Coffee, das genau dafür entwickelt wurde, aus jeder Bohne das Maximum zu holen. Brew The Moment ist für uns kein Slogan, sondern Alltag. Es geht nicht ums Trinken, es geht ums Wahrnehmen. Um die paar Minuten, die du dir nimmst, bevor der Tag wieder weiterläuft. En ninguna variante del multiverso empezaba yo el día del campeonato regional de @aeropress.spain en Euskadi con el objetivo de pasar rondas 😅 por no llevar, no llevaba ni jarras o agua suficiente para "llegar a la final" 😂 Teniendo en cuenta mi objetivo al salir de casa ese día: "si paso la primera ronda ya habré mejorado lo que hice el año pasado" 😌 Pero las rondas fueron pasando y a los jueces les iba convenciendo mi taza lo suficiente. Gracias @honorio_garcia_official @sofiasaudm @gonza_tex por ser parte de la experiencia ❤️ Era mi segundo año e iba muy distinto al del año pasado. Había ganado amigos en el proceso, como @ikerpascu y @oierburgos , que fueron claves para que pasara lo que pasó. Sin ellos no habría tenido jarras para preparar mi receta. Sin @ikerpascu , no habría tenido casi ni agua para la ronda final. Sin vosotros dos no creo que el resultado hubiera sido el mismo 🤗 Y mi ancla, @malenkonia allí pasando las horas de pie, de fotógrafa y apoyo emocional 🫶 ⚓️ Cuando pasé la segunda ronda, llegué a semifinales y clasificé para la final nacional, me dije: "Bueno, pues ya estaría", e Iker insistía: "¿Pero tienes agua para ganar hoy o no?" 🙈 Volví este año sobre todo para aprender. El año pasado me quedé loco con las recetas del resto de la gente. Este año, vale, me lo tomé más en serio, pero ganar el regional no estaba entre mis planes. Además, estar en la ronda final con @angderer me hacía ilusión porque ganó el año pasado y me daba mucho respeto, ya que me encanta su forma de afrontar el proceso. Es aplicada, metódica y consistente. De ahí que dos años de concurso y lleva un primer y segundo puesto consecutivos. Eso no es cosa del azar sino del trabajo. Congrats 👏 A mis amigos de @macchiato_pamplona , un placer compartir podio. El mejor Cold Brew de Iruña, tenía que decirlo 🥰 Eskerrik asko @native.cafe y los patrocinadores.
