Thank you @voguerunway@geometricsleep for the beautiful words. @reversegaogurl took a few photos of our beautiful “daughter” Kiyoko. She carried a bag filled with all the yarn waste from Grace Gui Fall/Winter 2025.
Will you burden your children with the weight of your waste? Will you pass down your inherited pain? Or, Will You Carry Your Inheritance Forward?
I can’t express how much I am touched and honored to have debuted Grace Gui’s message in front of you all.
@britishvogue , something blue, & some old GRACE GUI using fibers from my silkworms and rabbit!
This Silk Cocoon Wedding Gown is knit with three cones of artisanal cotton yarn from Japan, felted with artisanally dyed tussah silk from Japan and embroidered with foraged wild goldenrod silk cocoons sourced in NYC. Finished with vintage deadstock silk frog closures from Michigan and a deadstock mohair Chinese good luck knot.
