The First Nations Fashion + Design (FNFD) Reclamation Runway delivered a powerful showcase of Blak excellence, with Blak excellence taking centre stage. š¤
Speaking with Style Up Ambassador Chris Saunders, FNFD founder Grace Lillian Lee described the showcase as a powerful act of reclaiming an industry that historically was not built for First Nations people.
Instead of fitting into existing structures, the runway became a celebration of Indigenous ways of creating, storytelling and holding space. šš¾
Lee said the Reclamation Runway was intentionally created outside mainstream fashion expectations, allowing First Nations people to lead in a way that felt authentic to them. ā”ļø
š Massive congratulations to @troyjungajibradyofficial for winning the 2026 Queensland Music Awards Indigenous Artist of the Year! š¶āØ
Seeing Jungaji wear my yellow Frangipani Dreaming archive woven necklace fills me with pride. He looks absolutely regalālike a king honoring culture, creativity, and connection. This piece isnāt just jewelry; itās a thread linking stories, heritage, and dreams, and Jungaji wears it with such strength and grace.
