“For me, I can tell when we’re taking a good picture. You feel in sync with the photographer and the team around you, and you feel like it’s magic.”
Live from @afcaustralianfashionweek and shot backstage at the @lidee_woman runway show, @taylor_hill returns to Australian Fashion Week for the first time in 13 years.
In conversation with @elyssakostopoulos , Hill speaks less about visibility and more about ownership – of time, creativity, energy and selfhood.
Live on RUSSH.com tomorrow, she reflects on modelling, mythology, and the versions of ourselves fashion tries to preserve forever.

Travel can be both routine and disruption for Billie Jean Hamlet, but the rituals she’s developed while moving constantly are centred on maximising comfort. “When I first arrive somewhere new, I love to unpack and make myself feel at home,” she says. “A FaceTime call to my boyfriend to check in with my dog and loved ones also just puts me at ease.”
For her first-ever cover, @Rimowa digital cover star @BillieJeanHamlet reflects on the moments that linger most aren’t always tied to a destination – sometimes they exist in transit. A bowl of ramen eaten during a layover in Tokyo airport became one of those memories: fleeting, ordinary, yet unforgettable. As Hamlet reflects on a life shaped by movement – airport terminals, New York hotel rooms, early call times and home, in the Kimberleys.
On set in the makeup chair with @cassiedimitroff , Hamlet speaks on finding comfort inside the chaos, the emotional residue places leave behind, and why coming home can sometimes change you more than leaving ever could.

“Nobody knew we were making it. Nobody cared. Fame didn’t exist – it was just freedom.”
When our digital cover star @shabanaazeez_ flew to the U.S. to shoot 'The Pitt', it wasn’t a “moment.” No hype, no pressure – just the work. Months later, the series would celebrate 13 Emmy nominations and five wins. But that’s not the part she holds onto. Instead, she’s focused on the feeling – the rare kind of creative freedom that’s harder to find once the noise kicks in.
Now, as everyone else rushes to label her a “breakout,” Azeez is pushing back – choosing instinct over expectation, and meaning over momentum.
In conversation with @kirstythatcher , she talks navigating the industry on her own terms, the nerves of starting again, and why every story needs a reason to exist.

Our next New Moon lands in the early hours of Sunday morning, fading from its final waning crescent at exactly 6:01am on 17 May AEST. Falling in the 25th and 26th degrees of Taurus, this lunation brings a slow, dreamy kind of energy.
Think comfort, pleasure, and giving in to a little indulgence. At the 🔗 in bio, to find out what this New Moon has in store – and why it’s the perfect time to manifest.
Australian Fashion Week is nothing new to @serenaawardell . As she prepares for another busy AFW, we asked her to indulge us with a game of Style Confessionals – a glimpse into her personal style and the off-duty model pieces she keeps reaching for. "Honestly, between my watch and my engagement ring, I wouldn’t need anything else,” Wardell laughs. Her Fashion Week uniform follows the same instinct – denim, flats, dark sunglasses – everyday staples sharpened rather than transformed for the week ahead.
Here, Serena Wardell wears the @Cartier Clash collection.

“I think we wanted to create looks that felt very future retro; like the 80s idea of what the future might look like. Dune by David Lynch was actually a big reference point for Marina Afonina and I. We wanted the makeup to look as if it could exist within the film. Very beautiful but intense – it’s soft but strong.”
