DISCOVER TALENT @_t_hendriks Christopher (Toffa) Hendriks is a Perth bred, Sydney based photographer and photo assistant, experimenting with various films, formats and subjects through the years. Often capturing the calmness and simplistic beauty of everyday experiences, he invites viewers to drift into a state of daydream.   After several years spent living in London, and working/traveling throughout Europe, Hendriks has now returned to his home country. Here he resides closer to family and the ocean, dedicating his time to photography with a focus on still life and lifestyle.     1. What’s your go-to lens? 50mm    2. What’s a movie that’s visually inspiring to you?  Suzhou River - soft, muted tones and a pretty raw, voyeuristic feel. A lot of hand held camera work, low light, smog filled cityscapes and a heap neon lights. Well worth a watch or few.    3. Twitter, Instagram, or TikTok—where do you spend the most time? I spend far too much time on instagram. It needs to stop.   4. A book, movie, or photographer that influenced your work? Pia Riverola @piariverola r everything. 
Angelina Nikolayeva @nikolaevalina her festival photos and edits are something else, super intimate, voyeuristic framing with vibrant, saturated colours. Kaan Walsh @kaanwalsh , prolific photographer providing everyday inspiration to admire, be creative & take more photos.

5. Do you have a favourite playlist or song when editing? NTS breakfast with Flo, it’s been years and I can’t stop, she’s too good.   6. What’s one non-work thing you always make time for? Surfing and time in or looking at the ocean.   7. Which is your preference, sunrise or sunset shoots? Depends on what I’m shooting, but there’s something extra special about sunrise, it’s so quiet and relaxing, easy to feel like you have all the time you need.   8. Favourite food? Impossible question so I’ll generalise. Anything and everything wrapped up - sushi, taco, gyros, burrito, sausage roll and so on. Printssss hello! ✨✨ Hi friends, family and internet, say hello to my print shop. This has been a long time coming so I’m happy to finally have it out in the wild and hopefully hanging in more special places. Once again, a huge thank you to @c.domini_studio for the design, direction and motivation. The shop showcases a handful of my favourite scenes taken over the years shot predominantly on 35mm as well as the selection from my 2023 exhibition, Reverie, and all pieces currently hanging in the @ciscoandthesun.home / @porchceramics studio in North Fremantle. I’m super excited to share this with you all - Designed and developed by the talented @c.domini_studio , this website showcases what I’ve been working over the years, personally and commercially. In leaving London and returning back to Australia, though daunting, I have decided to leave the day job and put all of my time and energy into my photography, and I’m excited to see where it takes me. Huge thank you to @c.domini_studio for the endless hours designing and developing this over the last few months, and @ciscoandthesun.home and @porchceramics for the opportunity to work and create extensively together during my time in Perth this summer, much more to come! Scenes around Marche, Italy. Commissioned by @citrinaaus The Marche region is where Roberto, @citrinaaus ’ founder is from, and it so happens to be where @c.domini_ ‘s family is from - a happy coincidence and a dream to shoot in a familiar space. These were taken in San Benedetto del Tronto, a sleepy charismatic town where Chris’ nonna, Diana lives (@diana.venezia27 ) and where we often visit. Placed on the Adriatic coast, San Beni is a testament to a Mussolini-era revitalisation project to bring back new life to coastal cities. Unlike other more touristy parts of Italy, it’s a city that feels oddly a little more lived in and unassuming. @dofilmlab
