Hey everyone :)
I’ve made a sample pack for all the music producers out there! I put together a bunch of sounds that I believe encompass this little corner of the dance music world that we find ourselves in. It’s dreamy, resonant, proggy, techy and fun.
All of the sounds (synth, bass, drums etc) you hear on the demo tracks here are straight from the sample pack. Everything has been mixed/ processed how I would usually use them in tracks so they should sit nicely in the mix and be ready to use straight away. Set up a shiny reverb send and the synth lines really start to pop
The demo tracks came together super quickly which I hope is a testament to the usability of these samples. There’s heaps of stuff in there, all up there is:

Fusing expansive, dub-soaked synth work with pumping house grooves reminiscent of the turn of the century, the duo carve out a sound that bridges early-millennium inspiration and a modern dancefloor sensibility with a considered and tactful approach.
The Mojo Rhythm EP presents four tracks, shaped during their recent live sets and reworked for wax, setting the tone for what’s to come.

Melbourne / Naarm stronghold Butter Sessions clock 15 years in the game with a trilogy of 12”s, sustaining their uncompromising streak of peak-form electronics. The family-style V/A binds friends, collaborators, former studio neighbours and DJ booth allies, capturing a label that exists as community as much as catalogue.
Disc Two lifts off with recurring contributor Rory McPike’s first label outing as Rings Around Saturn, a blissed-out cosmic floater skimming the periphery. Booked in the early days of the label’s formative Mania residency, Japanese don Gonno twists freestyle, techno and breaks into pure ecstasy, before the unerringly bold Jennifer Loveless spikes the punch with a hallucinatory mix of drums, disembodied voice and jazz club keys.
On the flip, Boorloo’s Guy Contact rolls out Dance In The Grey, a shadowy prog churn pitched between new-romantic vocal sheen and EBM muscle, with Kate Miller completely rewiring the script on Sub Series E - a masterfully minimal, double-time meditation. suki presents his Sniper1 alias to close with a demonic body-jacking groove loaded for the system.
Whether taken alone or folded into the three-disc triptych, each instalment stands as a bag-ready constant, charged with Butter Sessions’ curatorial finesse.

Cal is one of my fav producers and a total legend, so it’s an honor to collab on this one. Excited to squelch around to it on some d floors soon.
Made this visualizer with some footage from a particularly wobbly day at my fav swimming spot along Lake Michigan, in Chicago (near the blue sculpture, iykyk). Felt like it captured some of the playful bounce in this remix, while also tapping into what this song represents for me - circling between a sense of grounding and home and a longing to explore.
