Reflecting on the Aotearoa Art Fair after a week of recovery. We are so grateful to all those who came to support us and the fair and all the incredible artists and galleries showcasing. We missed our colleague @li.si.rong and were so grateful that Elise jumped into the deep end to join our team at such an intense time. It was a real privilege to showcase the work of Simon Kaan, Julia Holderness, Freeman White & Natasha Wright at this years edition. Some of my latest styling for @bayaliving . Showcasing the Winter 2026 collection, I took cues from the rich palette and beautiful textures of the season’s pieces, particularly the new range of rugs which feature brickwork motifs and offset linear patterns. Every project we ask for a few images to be taken without artificial lighting. We put a lot of thought into how a space is lit - but soft daylight and natural shadow have a way of showing you what a material is actually made of. These images in particular show how a curved surface catches light differently - the way it rolls across texture and form in a way a flat plane never quite does. They're rarely the images that make it into a final marketing campaign or award entry - but they're often our favourite.
