ArchiPro Project of the Month:
Manukard Gard by Mason & Wales Architects in collaboration with Cassells Green
Bordering two national parks at the head of Lake Wakatipu sits Manukard Gard. The architecture demonstrates a profound respect for the environment, seamlessly integrating the dwelling into the surrounding mountains.
VidaSpace was honoured to create bespoke interior timber finishes for this project. Flooring in three custom formats, the staircase, wall lining, and veneer for joinery. With sustainability at the forefront of every selection, we are proud to deliver exceptionally environmentally conscious finishes, and the result is spectacular.

Design Spotlight: Totara Renovation by @patchworkarchitecture
"This project was to renovate and extend a 1930's brick bungalow to create more space for a growing family.
The extension is located on a small flat area to the south of the existing house, with the ceiling pitched up to a high north facing window, ensuring this new kitchen and dining space is sunny and light filled. This bright open plan space contrasts to the more contained and moody interiors of the existing house.
The complexity of changing the brick internal walls in the existing house meant that layout changes were minimised, with small alterations making possible an additional bedroom and a new ensuite.
Consistent materials and colours link the existing and new parts of the house - with a new brick for the extension complementing the old, timber cabinetry and joinery, and strong colours throughout."

Design Spotlight: Pipi Road by @mcdonald.kathrine
"Although a new build, this property has huge emotional resonance. For many years the site of the family bach, the permanent relocation of the owners called for a forever home. The clients were happy to leave the interior design direction to KMD with the one criterion of “I just don’t want gum boots at the front door!” With this amount of creative freedom we worked with the spectacular architectural design from Jon McAlpine to bring together a beautiful cohesive interior.
The lines are modern, and a lightness throughout references the coastal location. VidaSpace timber flooring has been used along with pure wool carpet; texture is important as is flow – a beautiful natural stone with hues of sea green has been used in the living space, and for a custom-made console in the foyer. Free reign to assist with furniture ensured a wonderful sense of continuity throughout the home."

Design Spotlight: NB Lawyers by @reneemurphyinteriors
"A balance of warmth and texture defines this new commercial kitchen space at NB Lawyers. Finished in VidaSpace Shinnoki Pure Walnut veneer, the joinery is complemented by green tile hues that add a considered pop of colour. Kayo Olive mosaics wrap the back bench and are used throughout the space to offset the cabinetry. Neolith Strata Argentum benchtops create a visual bridge between the flooring and rendered finishes, while still delivering an industrial edge."
